Job Description

  • Conduct inspections and tests to ensure products KPOV meet quality standards and compliance needs. Execute product containment accordingly, during normal running and abnormal events.
  • Disposition of Non-Conforming Product (Release, Scrap, Rework) based on risk assessment. Consolidation of assessment data to review with QA for release of Non-Conforming Product.
  • Analyze data, track trends, and drive continuous improvement in quality processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to production and engineering teams on quality control methods, procedures, and standards to maintain and improve overall product quality, and communicate with teams/customers.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and documentation.
  • Set and track quality goals, coordinate with process owners and QA, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with production and engineering teams to identify areas for process improvement, bring changes to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Statistical Analysis: Using statistical tools and methods to analyze quality data, track trends, and generate reports for management review and decision-making. Make use of 4IR technologies
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement in quality processes, encouraging innovation, and adopting best practices to elevate overall product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering (such as mechanical, industrial, electrical, or chemical engineering) or a related field is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and quality assurance tools (such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Statistical Process Control) is crucial. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technologies is also beneficial.
  • Experience: Many employers seek candidates with relevant experience in quality control, preferably within a manufacturing setting.

 

PREFERRED:

  • Minimum with 4-5 years working experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Previous work experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role is added advantage.
  • This include work involving quality inspections, process improvement, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies.
  • Great attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Team player.

 

SKILLS

  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and good analytical skills, and make data-driven decisions to improve quality processes.
  • Additional certification in Quality Assurance is a plus
  • Strong communication skills are vital for interacting with different teams, conveying quality standards, and collaborating to address issues.
