Job Description

The Video Editor at Western Digital’s Flash Division is responsible for crafting engaging and visually stunning video content that aligns with the director’s vision and is suitable for broadcasting. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a newly established in-house creative studio within a global organization and contribute significantly to its growth and success. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.  
  • Manipulate and edit film pieces in an invisible way to the audience.   
  • Review the shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list.   
  • Edit and assemble raw video footage into polished, compelling, and visually appealing final products.  
  • Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects to create rough and final cuts.   
  • Consult with stakeholders from production to the post-production process.   
  • Ensure consistency of brand messaging and visual style across all video content.  
  • Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in film production, Media, or a related field.  
  • 5+ years of work experience as a Video Editor 
  • A portfolio demonstrating their skills in creating visually appealing content.  
  • Proficiency with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After Effects, and Final Cut).   
  • Solid understanding of video production processes and techniques.  
  • Creative mind, strong attention to detail, and storytelling skills.  
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.  
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey creative ideas and collaborate with team members.
