Job Description

  • Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to analyze production operations data, understand daily KPIs, document daily manufacturing reports.
  • Create business requirement documents for data provisioning team and validate data provisioned to meet end user expectations.
  • As a Manufacturing Analytics Engineer, you will be providing technical skills to connect to data sources, help build business requirements for data provisioning team to develop solutions that optimize production demand planning and scheduling.
  • Team members are embedded with the production and materials control teams and expected to develop a deep understanding of the business processes.
  • The Manufacturing Analytics Data Engineer will validate data sources, clarify and translate business requests into business requirement documents to work with data provisioning team to validate, test and develop operations specific visualization.
  • Manufacturing Analytics Data Engineers must be able to identify relevant factors that impact manufacturing processes, inventory control policies, production scheduling, and materials and maintenance management.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills are required to lead discussions with a diverse group of engineers and operations personal. You are expected to ensure solutions are aligned with business strategies and that technology investments are profitable.
  • You will work in a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to learn quickly and understand complex physical and mechanical systems.  You will need to blur traditional boundaries between engineering, information systems, software technology, and project management in order to deliver timely solutions.
  • Above all you must be passionate about applying your engineering and programming skills and desire to constantly seek manufacturing excellence.
  • 24x7 support for wafer manufacturing critical reports to enable leadership team to take best tactical decisions to meet key operational targets.
  • Need to be hands on and in person (no Remote employee) and support Camstar MES project.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • BS degree in Industrial Engineering and/or Computer Science (BS CS), Software Engineering or related field
  • General understanding of Semiconductor and Fabrication processes, CMP process experience/knowledge is a bonus.
  • Experience with Statistical Analysis of Cycle Time, Labor Productivity and Equipment Utilization.
  • Proficiency with advanced analytics platforms (Spotfire, Tableau, JMP, SAS Visual Analytics).
  • Proficiency with relational databases (data modeling, table design, installation and configuration).
  • Driven to satisfy the customer, collaborative, embraces diversity, adapts easily, likes to train others and share knowledge.

PREFERRED:

  • Familiar with project management methodology, Agile, Scrum, Kanban and LEAN practices.
  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages (SAS, Java, PHP, and Python) and Excel Macros.
  • Six sigma certified or training is a bonus.

SKILLS:

  • Programming language background (C#, Java, Python, etc.)
  • Relational data base knowledge (SQL, ODBC, JDBC, DB2, MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, Data Virtualization)
  • Analytics platform experience (SpotFire, Tableau, SAS, etc.)
  • Data mining knowledge (requirements, data, modeling, validation, advance SQL server for data analysis)
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills especially in the areas of procedural documentation, knowledgebase articles and technical presentations.
