Job Description
Shape Wellmark’s brand through strategic design leadership and AI-driven innovation.
At Wellmark, design is more than execution - it’s how we bring our brand to life and communicate in ways that resonate. We are seeking a Design Lead who not only produces exceptional creative output but helps shape how the work gets done: guiding others, influencing direction, and elevating the overall quality of our visual storytelling across print and digital channels. This role operates at the intersection of strategy and design, partnering closely across Marketing and Corporate Communications to deliver impactful, brand-aligned work.
A key focus of this role is advancing how we leverage generative AI within the creative process. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience using tools like Adobe Firefly (or similar) to experiment, iterate, and scale new ways of working, moving beyond theory to practical application. You’ll help define how AI shows up in our creative approach, balancing innovation with thoughtful consideration of brand, risk, and responsible use, while establishing processes that enable the team to evolve.
This is a fast-paced, highly visible role suited for someone who thrives in an agency-like environment, brings an entrepreneurial mindset, and is energized by building what’s next. You’ll step beyond day-to-day execution to drive the work forward, inspiring designers, influencing stakeholders, and helping shape the future of design at Wellmark.
