Job Description

You will be responsible for definition, communication, and roll-out of performance and methodology standards ensuring industry best practices for execution of enterprise initiatives. Driving maturity of consistent Agile methodology framework standards and process across the organization. Accountable for monitoring, tracking, and analyzing metrics throughout the agile work lifecycle and overseeing reporting and metrics for agile and product teams. Develop and communicate strategies to drive execution collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve portfolio strategic objectives, measurable goals, and deliverables. You will advance understanding and governance in tracking tools such as Azure Development Ops, Planview, and other internal tools. Lastly, you will support division and team training for assigned initiatives. 

Qualifications

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience 
  • 7+ yrs. of proven experience managing large, strategic and highly complex work efforts/executed in various methodologies/or phases, while managing scope, schedule and budget in excess of $1M 
  • 2+ yrs. leading and managing enterprise-wide programs 
  • 4+ yrs. translating corporate strategy into an executable roadmap and delivery plan including understanding of current business and technology roadmaps/processes/strategies and defining future state 
  • Demonstrate the highest degree of ownership and commitment to assigned programs; accountable for driving the program to successful completion under aggressive schedules and unforeseen issues 
  • Able to provide a consultative approach to project owners and teams while holding themselves and the teams accountable for program performance 
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application various project management processes and system development life cycle methodologies and experience determining effective delivery approach for projects within the program structure 
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead and facilitate conversations at all levels of the organization (to include VP and SVP level stakeholders) 
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with staff at all levels of the organization to drive responsibilities and work, identify and engage teams in problem solving and able to offer constructive feedback and support. 
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to engage with technical teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs 
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor other project managers 
  • Travel required up to 5%

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field 
  • 10+ yrs. of proven experience managing large, strategic and highly complex work efforts/executed in various methodologies/or phases, while managing scope, schedule and budget in excess of $1M 
  • Proven experience in the health care industry and working with enrollment and administrative systems 
  • Professional Certification(s): Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Program Management Professional (PgMP), Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)

Additional Information

a. Directly responsible for managing all aspects of the agile life cycle, working with internal partners to oversee methodology standards and governance; training needs, trend analysis; Collaborates on process changes to manage risks, align investment priorities to organizational strategy and goals. 

b. Establish and maintain effective partnership with business owners and Technology leadership. Practice sound relationship management with business, vendors and Technology project teams and stakeholders by demonstrating key techniques in Agile Methodology and process management. 

c. Oversees the definition, implementation, and execution of Wellmark’s Agile methodology, including executing an overall organizational roadmap and strategy. Consult and educate stakeholders on standards and adherence protocols, including communication and training. 

d. Will serve as an senior Agile Coach for Wellmark Solution Delivery teams. Coaching responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working with teams to implement the Wellmark Agile framework; facilitating the continuous improvement of the Agile Framework; working with Scrum Masters, Release Train Engineers, Agile/Product Teams and Agile Leaders to  improve agile best practices; coaching Agile leaders in adoption of new agile practices or implementation of improvements to agile practices and coaching business leaders in the adoption of better agile intake practices. 

e. Support business objectives and produce results that are effective, accurate, timely, and on target to meet business and stakeholder needs. Collaborate and work closely with enterprise portfolio management to build and support the overall portfolio plan. 

f. Reporting/Metrics: create, monitor, track and analyze metrics throughout the agile lifecycle. Oversee reporting and metrics to help optimize agile team delivery. Will design and develop reporting and metrics to ensure agile/product teams have information to support continuous improvement. Analyze data to support financial  spend and forecasting.  

g. Identify, monitor and communicate critical delivery metrics to ensure agile execution success and demonstrate value to Wellmark Senior Leadership, Technology leadership, and business partners. Leverage results for futureprocess and methodology improvements. 

h. Portfolio Support: Support portfolio team to with data and metrics to help improve the agile delivery model for portfolio investments. Collaborate with the Portfolio Team and Agile/Product Leaders to interpret metrics to drive execution improvements.  \
