What projects might I support? Although subject to change, examples of projects you will be contributing to include:

• Develop cloud migration security controls, ensuring the deployment of new applications to the cloud follows Wellmark’s security standards
• Script automated controls to monitor cloud security 
• Build reporting tools, obtaining coding data and analyzing to understand and craft recommendations
• Gain exposure and experience on Consumer Cloud technologies

This internship will start in May of 2024, working a hybrid schedule from our headquarters in Des Moines.

• Current student pursing a Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, MIS, or related field
• Knowledge of software development technologies (NodeJS, Angular, .NET, MongoDB, SQL).
• General understanding of the domains of programming/scripting, computer science, and management information systems.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills. Accuracy and high attention to detail and self-starter.
• Ability to troubleshoot and develop creative technical solutions.
• Demonstrated computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel).
• Excellent writing and communication skills.

Preferred:

• Prior work experience in an office environment or internship
