Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your project management expertise and Lean methodologies to enhance safety, quality, production efficiency, and operational cost-effectiveness. As an integral part of our organization, you will play a vital role in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent manufacturing in cross-functional teams.
  • Actively participate in and promote various team activities, including Facility Safety, RADAR program, Hazard hunts, Quality Stops/Alerts/Standdowns, and Process/Manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Lead and oversee CPARs (Corrective and Preventative Actions) and MOCs (Management of Change).
  • Manage Product Data Management processes, including ERP system oversight for daily operations, setup, and maintenance of Items, BOMs, Routes, and Instructions.
  • Calculate, establish, and maintain standard work center labor hours through time studies and statistical analysis.
  • Conduct product/process analysis to drive cost reduction, quality improvement, and enhanced efficiency.
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate job cost variances and purchase price variances.
  • Drive production efficiency and utilization of personnel and equipment.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including goal establishment, team member training, and result evaluation.
  • Design, develop, test, and/or source various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods.
  • Coordinate efforts related to planning, procuring, installing, and qualifying tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Lead 5S, continuous improvement, and kaizen projects.
  • Develop or enhance Preventive Maintenance schedules.
  • Create new process flows/layouts using computer-aided design tools.
  • Perform other duties and activities as assigned by the supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with management, internal, and external stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various manufacturing processes and products.
  • Ability to plan and execute tasks within established guidelines.
  • Understanding of business operations and financial principles.
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline (e.g., Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience.
  • Familiarity with Product Data Management.
  • Experience with ERP Systems (e.g., JDE) and Showcase Query.
  • Understanding of General Accounting Principles.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Design and Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma Analysis methods and DMAIC Process.
  • Proficiency in Visual Basics (VBA), Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Competency in Microsoft Suite applications, including Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD).
