Job Description
Based in Brussels and currently gathering 35 consultants, the Wavestone Belgium office is expanding significantly. To support this strong growth, we are looking for talented people to work on hot topics at the crossroads of technology and management while actively participating in the development of our Belgian practice.
As a Cybersecurity Consultant Intern, you will be considered a full member of the team and will work on internal projects as well as client projects, depending on the hot topics we are working on. These projects will give you the opportunity to develop the key skills expected from a consultant (analysis & synthesis, customer relationship, etc.) and to raise your expertise in areas such as:
- Governance & strategy: Security governance, risk management, compliance (NIS2, DORA, ISO27001, etc.), cybersecurity strategy, awareness & training.
- Defensive & offensive security: Cloud security, AI security, vulnerability management.
- Audit & response: Audits, incident response, and crisis management.
- Industrial & IoT Security: Securing industrial control systems and connected devices.
Your missions & responsibilities:
- End-to-end delivery: Address all deployment aspects, including scoping, market studies, Proof of Concepts (PoC), project management, governance, and change management.
- Technical & strategic advisory: Deliver high-value studies, configure digital security solutions, or participate in audits based on your profile.
- Consulting excellence: Develop core professional skills including synthesis, client relationship management, knowledge sharing, and commercial development.
- Internal practice building: Contribute to internal activities such as business development, recruitment, event management, and overall office life.
Qualifications
We are above all looking for curious, structured, and analytical mindsets capable of bridging the gap between technical and organizational challenges.
- Education: Master’s student (final year) in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Management, with a strong interest in the digital and security sectors
- Soft Skills: An enthusiastic personality, sharp analytical skills, a strong collaborative working style, and an entrepreneurial mindset eager to embrace new challenges.
- Languages: Fluency in French OR Dutch AND English is mandatory to operate in the Belgian ecosystem.
Additional Information
- Terms & Length: The duration of the internship is 4 to 6 months to give you time to develop a concrete project and become part of the office, not only observe but fully integrate the team as a consultant. The exact length of the internship is open to discussion.
