Job Description

The role you’ll play. 

We’re looking for a hands-on and motivated Commercial Collections Manager to join our Auckland Commercial Collections team. Based at our award-winning East Tāmaki head office, this role is responsible for overseeing key collection services across the Auckland region.

In this role, you’ll work closely with your team, contractors, and customers to make sure operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. You’ll be focused on leading people, solving problems, and supporting the day-to-day delivery of services that make a real impact for our customers and communities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and supporting your team to perform at their best
  • Building strong working relationships with staff, contractors, and customers
  • Ensuring a safe work environment and promoting a strong health and safety culture
  • Overseeing day-to-day operations and making sure work is delivered to a high standard
  • Keeping accurate records and reporting on performance

Qualifications

What you’ll need. 

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic leader with a track record of operational excellence and continuous improvement to provide and maintain a safe and efficient workplace. 

Key characteristics required include:

  • A passion for operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • A relevant Logistics, Business or Engineering degree or equivalent qualification with relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Experience managing mid to large sized teams
  • HR and performance improvement experience
  • A demonstrable track record of maintaining and improving HSE culture
  • Commercial acumen and ability to manage budgets and interpret financial results
  • Strong leadership and excellent time management skills
  • A strong customer service focus
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • You are results driven, very detail oriented and have a high level of professionalism
