We’re currently looking for a motivated Forklift Operator to join our team at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF) and help us deliver on that promise.

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of bales of recyclable materials within our MRF. You’ll also support general waste management tasks, operate other heavy machinery (as needed), and help keep our facility operating smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to move, stack and load recyclable bales.
• Assist with operating front-end loaders, bailers, and other plant machinery.
• Conduct safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Contribute to high standards of site cleanliness.
• Deliver excellent customer service and uphold WM’s values at all times.

What You’ll Bring

• A current Class 1 driver’s licence with forklift (F), wheels (W), and tracks (T) endorsements.
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Mechanical aptitude and good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, operational databases).

• Working hours Monday – Sunday, rostered between 7.00am – 5.00pm
• Hourly Rate between $29.20 - $31.84
• Based in Frankton, Queenstown
