Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Data Governance & MDM, the Senior Manager - Data Governance & MDM Delivery role is to plan, coordinate, and manage enterprise Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, and Data Stewardship activities end to end. This Senior Manager is responsible for execution, resource and delivery planning, Agile delivery, coordination with business data owners and stewards, requirements management, and career growth for MDM analysts, developers, and delivery teams.

He/She will partner with business functions, Data & Analytics, ERP, Enterprise Architecture, Risk & Compliance, Engineering, Digital Technology, and other IT teams to implement the Data Governance framework and operating model, and apply consistent processes and standards across critical data domains.

He/She will be responsible for delivering the MDM priorities identified in the Data & Analytics multi-year strategy and proposing enhancements and scalable solutions where needed.

Proven leadership, communication, problem-solving, change management, and knowledge of data governance, master data, data quality, and integration best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

•        Lead execution and continuous evolution of Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata, and Data Stewardship strategy aligned with business objectives, digital transformation goals, and enterprise architecture standards.

•        Help refine multi-year Data Governance and MDM roadmaps by incorporating business priorities, ERP transformation needs, emerging technologies, industry practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational capabilities.

•        Help Create program plans incorporating capacity planning, resource forecasting, risk mitigation, and cross-functional dependencies.

•        Execute multiple large-scale, cross-functional, and global initiatives while managing delivery risks, dependencies, timelines, priorities, and strategic outcomes across the Data Governance and MDM portfolio.

•        Lead the end-to-end execution of Data Governance and MDM programs, from business case development through implementation, adoption, and support.

•        Drive Data Governance and MDM delivery for ERP, integration, M&A, and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring data readiness and alignment with business objectives.

•        Develop and maintain enterprise data policies, standards, business rules, controls, workflows, reference data, domain models, and master data lifecycle processes that promote consistency, scalability, and compliance.

•        Establish measurable value cases and monitor Data Quality metrics, governance compliance, MDM KPIs, adoption, and benefit realization, including productivity, risk reduction, operational efficiency, and customer experience.

•        Partner with business Data Owners, Data Stewards, product leaders, and technical teams to execute domain strategies and initiatives while establishing strong accountability for data definitions, data quality, access, usage, issue resolution, master data decisions, and business value realization.

•        Ensure successful business adoption and sustained use of governance processes and MDM solutions through stakeholder engagement, training, change management, communications, and ongoing value demonstration.

•        Partner Business and IT teams, and external partners to design, deliver, govern, and support enterprise data solutions.

•        Establish a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, coaching, and mentoring while implementing delivery frameworks, standards, methodologies, and reusable practices that improve organizational data maturity.

•        This role includes direct people management responsibility, performance management, succession planning, employee development, coaching, and career growth while fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.

•        Ensure effective communication of program status, risks, issues, decisions, and escalations to leadership and stakeholders; maintain budget discipline, governance compliance, process improvement, organizational accountability, and execution of strategic commitments.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

•        Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

•        Overall 14+ years of professional experience in Information Technology, including 8+ years of direct experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, data management, and/or data analytics roles.

• Strong program, project, portfolio, and delivery management skillset, including experience leading global and cross-functional initiatives.

•        Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling and mapping, methodology development, data modeling, and data mapping.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

•        Strong experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Reference Data, and Data Stewardship disciplines.

•        Strong understanding of master data domains such as Customer, Supplier/Vendor, Product/Material, Asset, Finance, Location, and Reference Data.

• Experience establishing Data Governance Councils, Data Steward Networks, decision rights, escalation paths, and enterprise data operating models.

•        Experience defining and implementing data policies, standards, business rules, data controls, quality rules, ownership models, and governance workflows.

• Experience with leading MDM platforms such as Informatica MDM, Reltio, Profisee, Semarchy, SAP MDG, or comparable solutions, and with data quality, catalog, and metadata tools.
• Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP and Oracle, their master data processes, and the data requirements of large-scale ERP transformations and migrations.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable governance processes, data models, integration patterns, and master data solutions.
• Capabilities to identify and apply process standardization, automation, and reusable practices that improve control, robustness, scalability, and ease of maintenance.
• Global exposure with the ability to work across regions, functions, cultures, and stakeholders to deliver measurable business benefits.

•        Ability to develop business cases, roadmaps, value measures, and executive recommendations for enterprise data management investments.

•        Working knowledge of data integration technologies, APIs, ETL, data architecture, Power BI, ServiceNow, and modern cloud data platforms.

•        Familiarity with AI-enabled data management, data products, semantic models, knowledge graphs, and modern data architecture practices.

•        Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic, and creative thinking, with the willingness to ask questions, investigate root causes, and navigate ambiguity.
