How will you make a difference?
As a member of the Global Operations Equipment group, the operations coach in Final Test will be responsible for frontline and/or shift management and defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role, you will direct the daily work activities of test technicians using effective communication and coaching. You will handle day to day responsibilities including time approval and work direction to meet site objectives. This role will continuously resolve issues through immediate action and have input on both short and long-term planning.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in manufacturing, quality, sourcing or operations, management experience
- Ability to work effectively on a team and serve as a positive change agent
- Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn and work as technical expert
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize aggressive deadlines
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, able to provide feedback and address employee issues in a positive manner
- Knowledge of AC / DC theory, Digital Electronics, and Fiber Optics, experience working with Pneumatic Air Systems
- Understanding and ability to work with complicated electrical
schematics, verbal instructions, and / or drawings
What will your typical day look like?
- Provide manufacturing/technical assistance & leadership to assigned work group
- Manage production employees and production schedule requirements to include timekeeping, overtime, time off and discipline, drive completion of individual annual performance reviews
- Support and meet production schedules, drive productivity (time of product) and quality initiatives, and manage the area within budget guidelines and controls; utilize data analysis to improve safety, decrease quality defects, and increase productivity
- Communicate and enforce handbook and other plant policies
- Interface with internal and external customers, define priorities for shift and work group leveraging morning production meetings (and shift change meetings, as needed)
- Actively participate in Environment, Health and Safety initiatives and corrective actions
- Actively participate on cross-functional teams and demonstrate necessary leadership and coaching; facilitate operational star point projects and ensure High Performance Work Team objectives
- Help train and develop skills of test technicians; educate production employees on business strategy and metrics
What about the physical demands of the job?
- Exposure to shop floor requires wearing PPE
- Walking, climbing, stooping, stooping, bending, lifting is all part of the hands on learning process

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $68900-98200 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com. Other benefit offerings for this role may include annual bonus, if eligible.
