We are actively looking for Foundry Caster Helper. As a member of the Fulmer/Perma-Cast group, you will be responsible for assisting in the Foundry, making parts for customers. 

Job Description

What do we want to know about you?

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This position requires accuracy and responsibility as many duties must be performed without close supervision.
  • Training and/or experience using Foundry hot metal Molds including Furnace(s) apparatus is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-6 months on the job training under close supervision.

What will your typical day look like?

  • Proper Setup and Safe operation of hot metal molds.
  • Utilizes Foundry principles of metal melting, pouring (ladling), solidifying and familiar with proper handling opening and closing of hot metal (permanent molds or others).
  • Inspection of work

    • Employee is regularly required to communicate effectively and clearly. Present Technical information.
    • Employee needs to be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds.
    •  Standing and sitting for extended periods
    • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility.
    • Employee is regularly required to see and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
    • Employee may be required to climb ladders, and other equipment.
    • Employee is regularly required to wear mask covering nose and mouth, steel toed shoes safety goggles at all times.
    • The Position requires the employee to be on-site during scheduled shift to perform daily duties and responsibilities.
    • Requires intermittent face-to-face interaction with employees on production line.

    Additional Information

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary rate for this role is currently $19.00-21.00. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
