Who will you be working with?
Wabtec Global Freight Services provides offering to customer which include technology, people, and processes, designed to maximize reliability and availability of customers’ locomotives at optimal operating costs. These tailored solutions meet each customer’s operating needs for fleet strategy, and changing business trends, ensuring we help customers achieve their desired business outcomes. These offerings include tailored Maintenance Contracts, Overhauls, Asset Performance Management, Upgrades and modernisations.

What will your typical day look like?
Support Senior Operations Specialist with vendor engagement and relationship management
Ensure rotables delivery date meet customers’ needs based off customer supplied 18 week forecast and zero-based budget (ZBB) forecast.
Continually monitor vendor turn-around-times to ensure remanufacture efficiency is maintained and areas of improvement identified and actioned
Assist Senior Ops specialist with leading all WIP (Work-in- Progress) meetings, ensuring key information is prepared ahead of time, and driving actions to closure
Particpiate in annual audits, ensuring vendors continually maintain accreditation to OEM standards
Manage the flow of "cores" (used parts) minimize turnaround times and reduce waste
Manage status of all ERP generated reports related to remanufacturing equipment
Understand and manage changes in customer operations to best prioritize vendor turn-around-times and prioritize assembly rebuilds
Oversee quality of internal delivery process from internal customer sites, utilising company owned EHS platform as overarching reporting function, driving actions to closure, fostering a continuous-improvement culture
Liaise across OneWabtec with relevant Service Leaders, Customer Service and Planners to create OneWabtec remanufacturing systems as appropriate
Support annual Stock take duties as it relates to remanufacture of goods
Support material planning functions through coordinating input on material shortages as advised through remanufacture partners
Prepare and supply Key Performance Indicator data to business leaders as required, particularly as it relates to goods remanufacture performance
Contribute to the Continuous Improvement of internal work procedures and site safety metrics.
What do we want to know about you?
Appropriate experience Company ERP systems such as Oracle
Experience in a Heavy Equipment Remanufacturing and Sourcing positions
Experience working in a remote location desired
Strong with MS Office
Full flexibility supporting site hours, flexible start and finish times
Strong organisational and time management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail
The ability to work autonomously under general direction
Team oriented and ability to work collaboratively across teams
