Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Transfer Management:
Coordinate the transfer of existing welding and machining technologies from an established facility to new or updated production lines.
Address gaps in documentation, clarifying unclear or outdated technical specifications and process instructions.
Work with engineering teams, operations, and quality departments to ensure technologies are successfully adapted and optimized for current production needs.
Cross-Functional Team Coordination:
Facilitate collaboration among multidisciplinary teams, including production, engineering, quality control, and maintenance, ensuring alignment on goals and timelines.
Coordinate tasks and resources, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities in the transfer process.
Act as a key point of contact between teams to resolve technical and operational challenges during the transfer phase.
Documentation and Standardization:
Review, update, and standardize technical documentation, including process specifications, welding and machining procedures, and work instructions.
Ensure all documents are clear, accurate, and accessible for current and future use by operators and engineers.
Process Troubleshooting and Optimization:
Analyze existing welding and machining processes, identifying areas where improvements can be made.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve any technological issues, inefficiencies, or ambiguities in the existing processes.
Project Management:
Manage technology transfer projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Track progress, report on key milestones, and address any delays or challenges that may arise during the transfer process.
Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are informed of project status and any changes to timelines or goals.
Key Requirements:
Education:
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience in technology transfer, process engineering, or production management, with a focus on welding and machining.
Strong experience in working with existing technologies in industrial settings, particularly when dealing with gaps in documentation or ambiguous processes.
Experince in coordinating multidisciplinary teams to achieve project goals.
Skills:
Excellent coordination and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and ensure deadlines are met.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technological and process-related challenges.
Exceptional communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams, ensuring clear understanding and alignment on goals.
Experience with process documentation and standardization, particularly in environments with outdated or incomplete records.
Proficiency in CAD software, process modeling tools, and other engineering software is a plus.
