We are headquartered in Peru, Indiana (just north of US 24 on US 31) and serve Miami, Cass, and part of Wabash counties. We serve more than 6,000 homes, farms, businesses in this area with more than 750 miles of electric power lines. Job Description
POSITION PURPOSE
Install and repair broadband services in homes and businesses. Provide product usage training to customers.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Install, or when necessary, disconnect broadband equipment. Be proficient in setup and maintenance of systems, operation of all equipment, installing and programming of equipment, operation of company vehicles, and safe and proper usage of portable ladders and safety fall protection equipment.
- Provide onsite assistance to customers after installation is complete.
- Use interpersonal skills for all interaction with customers.
- Ability to be on-call after hours and weekends in a rotation with other installers.
- Complete all related forms, work orders, reports and timesheets.
- Troubleshoot and repairing wiring and connections.
- Mechanical aptitude to operate various tools, shop and yard equipment and the ability to perform proper maintenance of each.
- Ability to prioritize, organize and manage tasks and time effectively.
- Ability to work overtime if necessary.
- Participate in safety meetings and training.
- Assist Company in other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an equivalent of the following education and/or experience.
- High school diploma or GED is preferred.

- Ability to work in outdoor environments in variable and extreme weather.

- Possess strong sensory skills such as hearing, dexterity, feeling and good eyesight, including the use of peripheral vision.
