Job Description
Portico are looking for an experienced and proactive Front of House Manager to lead a team of five within a unique and fast-paced environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a customer-focused professional who thrives on delivering exceptional service, managing multiple priorities, and leading high-performing teams.
In this role, you will oversee the daily operation of two busy reception areas, ensuring a seamless visitor experience while maintaining strict adherence to building security protocols. You will be responsible for managing access control processes, including QR code and pass systems, ensuring all tenant policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Alongside your operational responsibilities, you will support key business functions including HR administration, payroll, and trading activities, while providing valuable ad hoc administrative support to the client. You will also play a pivotal role during busy student enrolment periods, successfully coordinating front-of-house operations during the arrival of thousands of international students.
As a leader, you will coach, mentor, and develop your team, driving a culture of exceptional customer service and continuously raising service standards. The successful candidate will be highly organised, adaptable, and confident managing a busy and varied workload, with a passion for people and delivering operational excellence.

Salary: £40,517
Hours: 8-5pm and 9-6pm 40 Hours per week
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be confident interacting with a diverse range of people, including members of the public and students, while always delivering an exceptional customer experience.
You will be a highly organised multitasker with strong problem-solving abilities and the resilience to remain calm under pressure. Experience handling challenging situations, resolving complaints, and making informed decisions quickly and professionally is essential.
As a leader, you will be able to coach, support, and motivate your team, setting clear standards and leading by example. You will take pride in driving excellence across the customer journey, ensuring every interaction is handled with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
