Job Description
Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Manager/Senior Manager in Procurement Consulting to lead procurement transformation and cost optimization initiatives across diverse industries. In this role, you will drive impactful change, deliver measurable value for clients, and strengthen procurement capabilities through strategic advisory and hands-on implementation support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement transformation and cost optimization projects across multiple industries, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Manage client engagements, acting as a primary point of contact for senior stakeholders and building long-term, trust-based relationships.
- Conduct comprehensive procurement diagnostics, spend analysis, and opportunity assessments to identify value creation levers.
- Design and implement category strategies, sourcing strategies, and supplier management frameworks.
- Drive strategic sourcing initiatives including RFP/RFQ processes, negotiations, contract development, and supplier selection.
- Develop and implement target operating models (TOM) for procurement functions, including governance, processes, tools, and KPIs.
- Support digital procurement transformation initiatives, including system selection and implementation advisory.
- Lead and mentor junior consultants and analysts, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development support.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables, including executive presentations, business cases, savings tracking, and transformation roadmaps.
- Monitor project performance metrics and proactively manage risks and issues.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal preparation, client pitches, and thought leadership initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- 8–10 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain consulting or procurement transformation roles.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, procurement tools, category management, supplier relationship management (SRM), and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau). Knowledge of sourcing platforms (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Jaggaer) is a plus.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
- Consulting experience required.
- German language a strong preference.
