The farm Carinup starts 30km south of the township of Lake Grace and finishes approximately 15km south of Pingrup, 2 hours to Albany and 4 hours to Perth. Lake Grace has everything you need, such a primary school, high school, a hospital and swimming pool.
The Carinup aggregation is the newest farm to the Warakirri Cropping family, which consists of an impressive 16,000 arable ha. The farm is home to a dedicated team of around 10 full-time staff. The manager wants to create a culture that is based on teamwork, and not based on hierarchy. If you want to do something you haven’t done before the manager will be there to support you.
The accommodation that is available is suitable for either a single person or a couple. We are looking to hire 2 Machinery Operators.
Job Description
What does a Machinery Operator at Warakirri Cropping do?
In your new role as a Machinery Operator, you will operate modern cropping machinery across a range of farming activities including spraying, spreading, paddock preparation, planting, cartage and harvest operations.
- Operate and monitor modern machinery and precision agriculture technology while supporting crop health and production outcomes
- Assist with recording, storage and handling during and post harvest
- Carry out daily pre-start checks, servicing, greasing, cleaning and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Operating machinery during busy seasonal periods such as seeding and harvest, including longer working days when required
- Maintain a safe work environment by following farm procedures and taking pride in equipment presentation and upkeep
- Be supported to learn and develop new skills, with ongoing opportunities to gain exposure across different areas of the operation
Qualifications

- You have a demonstrated track-record of employment in a dryland/broadacre cropping operation.
- You have experience operating large-scale cropping plant and equipment.
- You have a strong focus on safety.
- You work best in a team environment and enjoy contributing to a successful farm team and kicking goals together.

- You have a current driver’s license.
- You have a current chemical user’s certificate or you are open to obtaining one through us.
