Job Description

What does a Farm Operations Manager at Warakirri Cropping do?

  • The Farm Operations Manager has full oversight into the farm's activities at Warakirri Cropping.
  • Management and supervision of Leading Hand and Machinery Operators.
  • You are a significant contributor to decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with Farm Manager on daily farm management and performance of the farm.
  • Strong contribution towards operational management, employee and contractor management and leadership, and Workplace Health and Safety.
  • Work closely with the farm manager, independent agronomy team, and in-house precision ag team to monitor and manage crops.
  • Opportunity to maximize crop potential through monitoring and management.
  • Contribute to the development of the farm, its people, and group culture in line with company values.
  • Operate machinery, including spraying, planting, spreading, and harvest.

  • You bring broadacre cropping experience.
  • You have a sound knowledge of growing dryland winter crops.
  • You have experience in the operation of large-scale cropping plant and equipment.
  • A willingness to learn, adopt new practices and further develop personal skills, whilst working in a team environment is what others pride you on.
  • You have a high level of initiative and self-motivation
  • You have excellent communication skills and can work closely with consulting agronomists and contractors.
