Job Description
As the Vice President of Operational Excellence, you will ensure we are building the operational capabilities and organizational change at the appropriate pace to support the growth of the business by developing and overseeing a structured cross-functional project portfolio. We are looking for a leader who can lead across teams to ensure initiatives are identified, sequenced and executed to maximize business impact. You will develop a capability roadmap, driving technology adoption and operational improvements, while implementing standardized project management practices to promote consistency and accountability.
As VP of Operational Excellence, this role will sit on our Operations leadership team, report into our Chief Operating Officer, and key relationships will include leaders across Planning, Merchandising, Product, Technology, Marketing, Retail, and Logistics.
Qualifications
What you'll get to do:
Drive Operational Process Improvement and Efficiency
- Collaborate with functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements across the organization.
- Lead initiatives to optimize end-to-end processes, driving measurable efficiency gains and cost reductions.
- Ensure that process improvements align with overall business goals and deliver tangible benefits.
Develop and Oversee Project Portfolio
- Implement a structured approach to compile, manage, and prioritize a comprehensive pipeline of initiatives.
- Oversee the sequencing and execution of projects to maximize organizational efficiency and business impact.
- Provide executive oversight on key initiatives, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Define and Drive Capability Roadmap
- Partner with leaders from Operations, Technology, Finance, HR, and other support functions to develop a comprehensive capability roadmap.
- Ensure the roadmap is aligned with the organization's strategic business objectives and fosters continuous operational improvement.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, systems, and processes to enhance enterprise-wide capabilities.
Set and Maintain Project Standards
- Establish clear, standardized processes for tracking and managing projects.
- Promote consistency, transparency, and alignment with company goals.
- Foster an environment of accountability to ensure smooth and efficient operations throughout the organization.
Lead Change Management
- Lead organizational change management efforts, ensuring successful adoption and integration of new processes, technologies, and business practices.
- Develop change management strategies that minimize resistance, increase engagement, and ensure the sustainability of improvements.
Who you are:
- 15+ years of leadership experience in an operating role with an apparel retailer
- Proven track record in leading large-scale cross-functional process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives in a similar industry
- Extensive experience with cross functional project portfolio, including prioritization and sequencing to maximize business impact
- Strong background in change management and transformation with expertise in driving adoption of new processes, technology adoption and business practices across diverse teams
- Demonstrated capability in developing and implementing operational standards, project governance frameworks, and performance tracking metrics to promote consistency and accountability
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with executive leadership, stakeholders and cross-functional teams

The salary range for this role is $270,000 per year – $290,000 per year. This role is bonus eligible.
