Job Description

Your crew during this flight: 

As an PLD/FPGA Developer within the Flight Control Team for VoloCity, you will design and implement safety-critical PLD/FPGA firmware within a multi-disciplinary team for a real UAM solution that will literally take off in front of you. You will be responsible for safe hardware that matters for people all over the world.

Your mission during this flight:

 

  • You will develop PLD/FPGA firmware for the Flight Control System in compliance with DO-254 objectives
  • You will define and review safety-critical electronic hardware lifecycle documentation
  • You will manage and maintain the Flight Control related requirement traceability from aircraft to item specifications
  • Assist in hardware verification efforts in accordance with applicable industry standards
  • You will be technically supervising equipment suppliers, reviewing plans, requirements, traceability, design descriptions, reports and verification activities outputs
  • You will create and review certification relevant documents and plans according to DO-254
  • You will be supporting the hardware CVE in developing compliance demonstration

Qualifications

Check in your professional skills:

  • Degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering or similar
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in aerospace development 
  • Minimum 5 Years of detailed knowledge and practical expertise of DO-254, DO-160 and ARP4754A
  • Good knowledge of certification deliverables according to DO-254
  • Good knowledge about requirements engineering with requirement management tools like Integrity or DOORS
  • Expert development skills for PLD or FPGA
  • Fluent in hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with hardware verification and writing/reviewing test cases/test procedures for DO-254 compliance
  • Familiar with verification/simulation tools such as ModelSim, Signal Tap, or ChipScope
  • Thorough statistical skills and a structured approach 
  • Good language skills in English
