Viva Energy Australia maintains a comprehensive framework for ensuring Product Quality through the Supply Chain to the end customer.  We now have a great opportunity for a Product Quality Excellence Lead to join our Fuels Product Quality team.

With a national accountability, this role can be based in Melbourne/Geelong, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth.

In this role you will be responsible for Supply Chain product quality assurance from point of manufacture to our customers. Our team provides product quality and technical advice to our various internal stakeholders (supply, operations, manufacturing, sales & marketing) and external customers.

You will be accountable for managing product quality risks by maintaining and applying Viva’s Assurance processes so that the business maintains compliance with relevant Laws, Regulations, and agreed-on Standards in a cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support and technical advice to internal company stakeholders and to customers.
• Provide advice for management of non-conforming product (contamination).
• Develop and update specifications, standards and procedures relating to the quality control of the fuel products.
• Perform periodic quality audits of our supply terminals and contracted Quality Service Provider laboratories to ensure quality standards are being maintained.
• Review manuals and procedures for the purpose of strengthening PQ performance across the supply chain.

About you:

• Tertiary qualified in Engineering or Science.
• An open commercial mindset and a high level of understanding and background in chemistry and laboratory operations (ideally within the oil and gas field).
• A working knowledge of IS017025 laboratory requirements, quality management system ISO9001 along with Australian Fuel and Aviation Quality Standards.
• A willingness to travel mainly to the east coast of Australia.
