Job Description

We are seeking a FP&A Manager to join the OTR team, based at Viva’s head office in Docklands, Melbourne.  Directly managing a team of 3, in this role you will help build its commercial Finance, Planning & Analysis arm.  Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and FP&A, this newly created role will provide you the opportunity to influence the pathway forward in all key areas of the function.

You will work closely with the core finance team as well as with the retail leadership team. This interaction will come naturally as part of being involved in both reporting elements as well as strategic formulation initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • BI Tool Implementation
    • Work with IT from requirements analysis to proof of concept & Implementation.
  • Post Implementation BI Tool Management
    • Data Integrity, Super User, Interface between End User & IT.
  • Automation & Process Improvement
    • Use BI to reset the reporting platform across the business & drive for automation.
  • Build an FP&A Team from scratch
    • Recruitment & Training
  • Preparation of Monthly Flash Results
  • Preparation of Monthly Group Management Reporting Pack
  • Preparation of ongoing forecasts
  • Budget Preparation
  • Oversee the preparation of segment & site reporting packs
  • Oversee other FP&A reporting elements including rolling cash forecasts, CAPEX ROI and tracking of other CI.

Qualifications

 

  • You are a fully qualified CA / CPA member.
  • Experienced in a similar Senior FP&A role and the implementation / set up of a new function with demonstrated ability of being a part of a high-performance fast paced team.
  • Ideally experienced within the Retail industry.
  • A proven track record of delivering best-practice financial systems and reporting coupled with collaborative and hands-on business partnering skills. 
  • Advanced experience in use of BI tools is key with prior experience in IBM Planning Analytics / TM1 being highly regarded.
  • In addition, you will be flexible in your approach and able to adapt to suit different needs or situations with the utmost attention to detail.
