Job Description
Join Viva Energy as our Commercial Manager – Hydrocarbon Solutions, where you will lead the growth and development of a high‑impact asset, product and services supply portfolio across our commercial lines of business. In this pivotal role, you’ll shape the Hydrocarbon Solutions bran, driving new service capability, supplier partnerships, and commercial innovation across multiple sectors and geographies.
You’ll oversee resource planning and workforce capability, build and maintain strategic supplier relationships, secure critical project delivery supply chains, and lead the development of this new platform. We’re seeking a commercially minded leader with experience in technical sales, complex contract structures, supplier management, and stakeholder engagement—someone who thrives in a cross‑functional environment and can influence at all levels while supporting a rapidly growing commercial portfolio.
Responsibilities & Requirements
- Builds the Hydrocarbon Solutions brand to break new ground in service levels, equipment offers and capabilities to all Viva Commercial lines of business.
- Assures competent resourcing of the Hydrocarbon Solutions business development and project delivery capabilities.
- Maintains talent pipeline for new hires, anticipates growth and replacement requirements across all lines of business to ensure availability of essential technical staff.
- Maintains key relationships with a broad range of suppliers and commercial contacts. Asset and hardware manufacturers, importers and service providers.
- Development of reporting suite in collaboration with Viva Commercial and Industrial Services team.
- Identifies and secures essential supply chains for project delivery in schedule-driven environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with technical sales and construction of complex commercial arrangements.
- Experience with personnel management within a rapidly-growing sales segment – both in scale and range of offer.
- JDE experience an advantage
- Experience with forming strategic commercial relationships with key suppliers in line with a defined business model.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills using common IT formats.
- Direct team and stakeholder engagement.
- Effective stakeholder interaction skills in person and virtually.
- Cross-collaborative approach, demonstrated through previous positions involving team work
