We now have a great opportunity for a Senior Engineer – Electrical, Instrumentation & Control to join the Supply Chain Reliability & Integrity engineering team.  In this role you will supporting up to 30 terminals, depots, and licensed pipelines across Australia.  You will directly support our asset owners, maintenance and projects teams and be responsible for developing and implementing the electrical (HV&LV), instrumentation and control integrity program based on risk, compliance management, inspection & maintenance regimes, and engineering analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Key assets include Ex rated HV/LV electrical equipment, process instrumentation (level, temperature, and pressure) and process control systems (DCS/PLC and telemetry).

In addition, you will provide subject matter expertise (SME) to:

  • Develop and maintain engineering guidelines and procedures for electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Support the design, construction, modification, and disposal of electrical, instrumentation and control assets working with our projects team.
  • Develop and promote strategic vision and plans related to Supply Chain electrical, instrumentation and control assets and systems including strategic major maintenance and CAPEX activities.
  • Stay current with regulations, industry standards, and technology and industry developments.

About you

You are a degree qualified Electrical Engineer with the ability of effective communication and coordination skills and have demonstrated experience working within a heavy production or manufacturing environment, preferably greater than 10 years.

  • Are a Subject Matter Expert for instrument and electrical assets, particularly their maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Detailed experience with electrical equipment in hazardous areas (EEHA).
  • CPEng (or working towards).
  • FSEng or functional safety experience (desirable).
  • High voltage electrical switching experience (desirable).
  • Possess excellent stakeholder management skills (both internal and external) and are able to manage complex and strategically important relationships.
  • Able to work autonomously and effectively prioritise and manage your time to meet your commitments and hold yourself accountable for the outcomes.
  • Able to regularly travel nationally as required.
