Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on System Administrator to join our established in-house IT team, with deep, practical expertise in Microsoft messaging and cloud identity. This is a focused operational role centered on Microsoft Exchange (on-premises and Exchange Online), Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, and Entra ID. You will keep our messaging and identity platforms secure, reliable, and modern.

Critically, we want someone who will complement and strengthen our existing team. We work collaboratively, and cultural fit and teamwork matter to us as much as technical skill.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server on-premises (2019 SE) and Exchange Online.
  • Plan and execute mailbox and workload migrations from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online (Microsoft 365), including hybrid coexistence, mail flow, and cutover activities.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 messaging services — Exchange Online mailboxes, mail-enabled/distribution groups, mail flow, and mail licensing.
  • Perform mailbox- and mail-related tasks in Entra ID and support messaging/M365 integration with SSO/federation (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML) — operating within the identity policies owned by the IAM team (identity lifecycle, RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA), and partnering with the IAM and Workplace teams.
  • Maintain core Windows infrastructure — Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and hybrid identity (AD Connect).
  • Provide day-to-day operational support and escalation from the helpdesk team for incident, change, and problem management.
  • Uphold security and compliance standards, patching, and audit readiness.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Located in Singapore with valid working rights.
  • Proven hands-on administration of on-premises Microsoft Exchange (2019 / Subscription Edition) — not troubleshooting or environment-support only.
  • Real, demonstrable experience migrating from on-premises Exchange to Exchange Online (Microsoft 365) — you have personally planned and delivered such migrations.
  • In-house / corporate end-user environment experience. You must have supported an internal enterprise IT environment and its end users. Candidates whose experience is entirely System Integrator (SI), consulting, or project-based are not a fit for this role.
  • Strong team player who works well within, and adds to, an established team.

Essential Technical Experience

  • Microsoft Entra ID (identity & access management, Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC/PIM).
  • Microsoft Azure / Azure Stack administration.
  • OIDC (OpenID Connect), OAuth 2.0, and SAML for SSO and federation.
  • Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, and ideally SharePoint/Teams).
  • Windows Server, Active Directory, GPO, DNS/DHCP, and hybrid identity (AD Connect).
  • PowerShell scripting/automation.

Personal Attributes

  • A collaborative, dependable team player who complements our existing team dynamic.
  • Takes ownership, shares knowledge, and contributes to a positive team environment.
  • Comfortable operating hands-on in a steady-state in-house IT function.
  • Willingness to work outside normal business hours and travel when required.
