Job Description
Visa’s Global and Europe Fleet & Mobility Teams are world-class commercial teams targeting double-digit growth as we expand our relationships with global organizations looking to enable fuel, EV, and vehicle related payments via the Visa payment network. Visa works closely with Global Energy/Oil companies, Processors, and Fleet Card providers to bring payment solutions and associated services that meet the needs of Small Businesses, Growth Corporates, Large Enterprises, Multi-Nationals, and Governments.
Visa is seeking an execution-focused Director of Global Fleet & Mobility Enablement to lead the global rollout of Visa Fleet with a strong emphasis on building the ecosystem for advanced acceptance across fuel merchants, electric vehicle (EV) charge point operators, and other key merchant categories.
Reporting into both the Global Head of Fleet & Mobility, and Europe Head of Fleet & Mobility this individual will lead multi-region merchant acceptance, acquirer and PSP enablement. This role requires an individual with experience in building partnerships with payments ecosystem participants such as Acquirers, POS providers, and merchants. The successful candidate will bring a unique strategic vision to ecosystem development and can work independently in a dynamic setting across multiple teams.
The individual will be a self-starter and initiative-taker who can influence various stakeholders thanks to a strong vision and problem-solving abilities and drive key initiatives for Visa.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and influence relationships with Acquirers , Terminal providers, key Merchant partners (e.g., fuel stations, EV charging networks,), and strategic ecosystem enablers to adopt Visa Fleet 2.0 including advanced fleet payment acceptance, identification of Visa fleet card, product level purchase controls, driver prompting, passing of enhanced data, VAT support, etc
- Input into the global fleet & mobility Visa enablement strategy and execution, ensuring alignment with Visa’s broader commercial fleet & mobility vertical objectives.
- Oversee the phased deployment of Visa Fleet across priority markets, ensuring readiness of infrastructure, merchant onboarding, and compliance with Visa standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on payment technologies, terminal capabilities, and merchant integration, especially within the fuel merchant and EV charging sectors.
- Work closely with product, engineering, sales, and regional teams to ensure successful delivery and adoption of fleet acceptance solutions.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscape to inform strategy and maintain Visa’s leadership in fleet payments.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of delivering complex global initiatives Ability to influence key stakeholders at acquirers, terminal providers and merchants to adopt Visa Fleet standards- Proven experience (10+ years) in payments, merchant acceptance, or fleet programs, ideally with exposure to fuel and EV charging ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of terminal technologies, payment protocols, Acquirer technology, and merchant integration models.
- Excellent communication skills,
- Experience working in a global matrixed organization.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
