Job Description

We are looking for an individual to join us as a Senior Consulting Program Manager in the VCA team based in the Philippines. This individual will act as the overall program lead to deliver end-to-end consulting engagements for our key issuing, acquiring, merchant & fintech clients. Typically, the individual will closely interact & work with the client team gathering and managing project inputs, analyzing data to form conclusions and recommendations, developing and presenting compelling project reports and working with clients on executing recommendations.

The program will include initiatives that cover payment strategy review and roadmap design, portfolio and product-market fit assessment, customer value proposition design/refresh, people/talent enablement, digital payments wallet assessment and launch, mobile banking app diagnostics and enhancement, and other growth initiatives. It will also cover improving customer engagement on client portfolios powered by Visa’s data, collaborating closely with the data science teams on building data-driven solutions (e.g. AI model deployment).

The Senior Consulting Program Manager will be responsible for identifying potential clients’ business pain-points and areas for strategy and process improvement, thereby defining project scope deliverables and revenue opportunity to sell-in client engagement projects and building new practice solutions.

  • Deliver consulting support and projects to Visa's key clients in the Philippines
  • Understand our clients’ business objectives, needs and plans to bring valuable insights
  • Identify opportunities and potential for improvement to help Visa clients in growing their business
  • Develop and propose appropriate strategies and business solutions to the clients and manage the delivery of high-quality consulting engagements
  • Manage internal and external project team members, able to gain consensus with the team of consultants and subject matter experts to address the clients’ goal
  • Leverage Visa’s innovation, product and data capabilities to further grow our clients’ business by working together with the sales and product teams as well as the Visa Innovation and Data Sciences team

Qualifications

We are looking to hire the ideal candidate who have already accumulated strong consulting experience and will be curious about the payments industry and keen to work alongside an experienced payments team. You will be client-driven – you are comfortable managing a project end-to-end, and you relish the opportunity to work closely with clients to influence their future performance.

Essential specific skillset and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in strategy / management consulting with proven project deliveries and expertise in consulting methodologies
  • Excellent analytical skillset with an ability to think strategically and frame customer’s opportunity in financial terms, challenge the status quo, and provide recommendations
  • Exposure to retail banking and/or payment card industry and/or merchant retail business is a plus. Knowledge of payments in general, loyalty, co-branding, digital marketing, security and risk management, innovation and/or big data and analytics (preferred but not required)
  • Project management skills are a key requirement given that this role involves managing projects with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data analytics methodologies and tools and the use of data insights for business growth
  • Excellent client relationship management skills (on senior executive level and across all levels of an organization) with the ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor showing thought leadership
  • Strong sales orientation and has experience in selling major projects/ideas to senior management
  • Have an entrepreneurial approach and vision
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to comprehend and convey complex technical information
  • Strong business acumen and business analysis skills (research and analyze market and client information to tell a story)
