Job Description

Visa Direct services encompass a comprehensive suite of modular solutions designed to facilitate end-to-end money movement flows, supported by Visa's robust platform, networks, and product offerings. These services are tailored to meet market and client-specific needs.
The services include capabilities for banks, financial institutions, and fintechs to securely receive, hold, manage and send funds to more than 8.5 billion end points (cards, accounts and wallets) in 190+ countries and 160+ currencies.
It handles transactions such as B2B payments, remittances, merchant settlements, gig economy payouts, money transfers, collections, FX solutions, multi-currency wallets and more.

Visa Direct Solutions enable over 2,000 programs globally across more than 65 use cases, demonstrating the breadth and versatility of their offerings which includes Visa Direct Account/Card/Wallet, Visa Cross border solution (VXBS) and B2B Connect.

This role will report into the Head of Visa Direct Business Development - Southern Europe or one of its members. The Sales Analyst of Visa Direct services will support and actively contribute to the commercial activities and deals from origination to closure for any eligible client segment in Cyprus and Southern Europe.  

This role will be responsible for helping colleagues to achieve commercial objectives, delivering the multi-million sales pipeline for Visa Direct services and ensuring consistent growth of existing clients through opening new business with them.
She/he will also be responsible for concluding deals with medium to small sized clients, with the support of the team.
In this role, she/her will work closely with the local teams to analyse the market, identify targets, contribute to the Go-to-Market plan and sales activities.

Visa is looking for a junior banker or payment knowledgeable person with aspirations to grow in a commercial role.
 

Essential Functions

  • Support the work of a team of Business development Visa Direct experts in order to build a strong pipeline, transform it into opportunities and revenues aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Contribute to the definition and execution of Go-to-Market plans in agreement with key internal stakeholders
  • Create and nurture network of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Based on the deep knowledge of targeted entities’ situation, define best product proposition, while trying to create roadmap for implementation of all services
  • Support the team in structuring high value, complex commercial deals and in shortening the time to revenues
  • Support local, in-market sales teams with top priority sales initiatives
  • Interact with every area of the organization: Business Development, Customer Support, Visa Consulting Analytics, Legal, Risk & Compliance, Marketing Teams, and C-Level as required.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office.
Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications,
• 1 or more years of relevant work experience in commercial roles within the banking / payment services industry.
• Bachelor Degree or 1 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• Knowledge of predominant payment / card ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications
• Creative self-starter with a bias toward action and some sales experience
• Constructive team member with good track record to achieve objectives and constantly grow own skills and knowledge.
• Background of client/partnerships management, sales, and or business development preferably at a bank or fintech
• Good problem-solving skills
• Client focused, good interpersonal skills
• Very good listening and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to explain complex business and technical concepts to audiences in an approachable way to influence and drive adaption
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team player and leader
• Passionate about working on innovative financial products and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments
• Ability to conduct business negotiations in English. Other European language would be a plus
