Job Description
What is it all about?
The Business Analyst will be part of an innovative Business Intelligence and Sales Tools Team within the VAS COO organization. The candidate enables the design, development and delivery of automated reports and dashboards that are leveraged by our sales teams, sales leaders, business partners, functional areas, businesses units and executives. This role requires creativity of dashboard design, problem solving, and the proven ability to demonstrate best practices in data analytics and Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities
- · Work with business leaders across the Sales Organization to understand the needs and requirements of the business. Provide data-driven insights and results that address these requirements.
- · Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reporting through proactive awareness, alerts, testing and processes
- · Drive new customer experience KPIs, metrics, tracking methodologies and data visualizations.
- · Work with large datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, and behaviors
- · Design, build, enable and maintain Tableau and BI dashboards and stories for both executive level and functional areas
- · Generate powerful data visualizations that ‘tell a story’ thru the data
- · Collaborate across teams, geographies, and organizational levels to develop solutions
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
What we expect of you, day to day.
- Working knowledge of data engineering principles, understanding how to store, manage & retrieve large-scale data sets from multiple systems for analysis.
- Proven experience with Tableau to drive visualizations & industry best practice reporting
- Advanced Table Calculations, Creating Parameters and Calculated Fields, Level of Detail Expressions, etc.
- Exceptional ability to visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings
- Highly flexible, ability to execute well in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving organization
- Great attention to detail to ensure highest level of quality/rigor in reports & data analysis
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle varying workloads with a high degree of accuracy
- Proactive, organized, detail oriented, and quality driven
- Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve problems logically and systematically
- Strong BI reporting knowledge to help drive automated systems in a production environment
- Ability to effectively communicate and translate business requirements to technical requirements
