Job Description

Visa Technical Solutions provides industry-leading implementation services and operational support to Visa around the world. With our deep knowledge and expertise, we are a key internal partner to Sales, Product and Technology teams bringing the voice of the client into the design, development and successful deployment of Visa products and solutions.  As a part of the Client Services organization, this team provides support to financial institutions, fintech partners and their corporate clients who utilize a suite of Visa products.  Areas of focus include IT Infrastructure and project management. 

This position serves as Visa Project Manager for endpoint implementation services provided to Clients.  This is an individual contributor responsible for managing low to mid complexity projects and taking a broad perspective to identify innovation solutions.  This role serves to gather and document project requirements while providing client consultative guidance on Visa regulations, features, and functionality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Project Management planning, execution, closing and support for low-mid complexity IT infrastructure projects, with assigned Visa clients and/or in an assigned market to ensure client expectations are exceeded. Problems faced are expected to be difficult and mildly complex.
  • Meet all milestones and deliverables in a timely manner. Comply with Visa Internal Artifacts and ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
  • Coordinate directly with client to analyze card program setup requirements to implement Visa endpoints, products, and services to support the business and formulate implementation solutions
  • Report client project accomplishments and deliverables to management on weekly or monthly basis
  • Confidently manage client projects in parallel to product developments and a changing landscape
  • Manage non-routine, complex processing requests, as well as short term tactical and strategic customer initiatives
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement to improve team efficiencies and project delivery to clients
  • Build and enhance positive working relationships with key Visa client institutions, processors, and internal stakeholders
  • Build a cohesive global workgroup and involve those global workgroups in communications and decision-making.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project Artifacts, including project plans, status reports, meeting minutes, issues logs in support of client projects and/or initiatives. Apply Visa processes and approaches to be in line with client requirements.
  • Represent client system and operational requirements to internal Visa organizations. Constantly create good functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, by being able to speak confidently and having a professional demeanor
  • Be accountable for delivering agreed objectives. Be responsible for own workflow assignments and must be able to take the initiative to resolve problems and ensure delivery on commitments
  • Assume appropriate decision-making authorities to ensure flawless execution of project objectives
  • Coordinates technical resources, planning and monitoring of certification testing, and to secure resources required to complete projects. The date and time of the go life window may or may not be business hours and it will depend on the client’s risk mitigation strategy
  • Escalate projects that are in jeopardy and work with your direct manager as appropriate to make decisions that bring needed resources to resolve any issues.

This position requires off scheduled work including late evenings / weekends in support of client and company configuration changes and associated post-production validation.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

 

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 2+ years of Information Technology system knowledge with moderate understanding of project management, technology, IT Infrastructure and applications.
• We are looking for an individual who brings breadth of experience, a curiosity about payments, is results-driven and client focused.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience in a business analyst role in software or financial services.
• Experience using standard MS Office tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, etc.)
• Excellent time management, organization, planning skills, and teamwork are essential.
• Able to set priorities, influence others, and manage customer expectations
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Candidate is required to interact with internal stakeholders in US / India / Singapore, hence the ability to speak/write English fluently is a must. Portuguese is a plus
• Project management of retail banking, card schemes or new technologies that are applicable to the payment industry
• Comfort with public speaking and the ability to relay information clearly and confidently
• Good working knowledge of Visa’s payment processing systems including message routing, authorization, clearing & settlement, and client connectivity a plus.
