Job Description

As an Sr. Auditor, you will assist in audit engagement relate to Visa products and international market operations.  You will design and drive the execution of key areas of each audit engagement. You will assist in the execution of key areas of each audit engagement.  Develop and maintain client relationships, assisting in explaining the audit process and scope, keeping management apprised of audit progress and issues, and effectively delivering audit results.  Stay abreast of company business strategies and the risk profile of assigned business areas to ensure relevancy of audit approach.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist audit management in preparation for engagement risk assessment, planning and audit scope development.
  • Participate in developing the audit work program, in consultation with audit management, for efficient and effective testing of key controls.
  • Execute specific areas of an audit project under the supervision of audit management, performing audit work using Visa standard audit methodology to evaluate risk, determine control objectives, and verify the extent to which client techniques meet objectives.
  • Document test results in work papers ready for audit management review. Inform audit management of project status and results.
  • Interact with client management to assess audit findings including control weaknesses with an appropriate degree of professional skepticism.
  • Keep audit management informed of audit findings and assist business partners with the development of Management Action Plans to mitigate weaknesses and evaluate adequacy of the responses from management. Where appropriate, test corrective actions taken.
  • Maintain business relationships with appropriate levels of client management to ensure that audit management is aware of changes in business activities and objectives.
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills to the appropriate levels of Visa and audit management during the audit process.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Visa and Internal Audit strategic vision, be a self-starter, and responsible for actions promoting this strategic vision.
  • Interact with audit project team members in working towards departmental goals.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications.

  • 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) in business, accounting, management information systems, or related field.
  • Internal audit experience, preferably with a large financial institution, or Big 4 assurance experience.
  • CIA, CPA, CISA or other relevant professional certification.
  • Demonstrate experience executing audits within a complex operational and regulatory environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Experience evaluating controls associated with complex business processes.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10 to 25 percentage of the time.
  • Good analytical, organizational and presentation skills.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 102,600.00 to 145,150.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
