Job Description
Do you want to work on thumb-stopping social media content, original campaign creative, and even the occasional broadcast commercial? Do you like the idea of working with celebrity athletes from the NFL, FIFA, the Olympic and Paralympic Games and Red Bull Racing. We are Ad Hock. Visa's internal creative agency. Just as Visa founder Dee Hock revolutionized the way we pay, Ad Hock is taking a new approach to the internal creative team by developing a fully functional advertising agency in-house. We create high-visibility content to support every layer of the funnel starting with brand awareness. Approximately 30% of our efforts support Visa’s core brand and sponsorships. The other 70% of our work is dedicated to supporting Visa’s partners and clients as an external creative agency. It’s the perfect mix of client-side and agency life!
Our team is rapidly expanding, and we are looking for a Business Affairs Manager to help accelerate our work, so we can build better, bolder, content. And lots of it!
The ideal candidate is someone who does not necessarily fit into the traditional mold of a Business Affairs Manager -apart from negotiating usage and licensing agreements and managing third party rights, we are looking for someone who thinks outside the box and uses their creativity to find efficiencies in our contracting processes to accelerate enablement.
You will be the indispensable linchpin of the entire production process, a go-to figure providing solutions to varied production, negotiation and business challenges. Acting as a liaison between, Ad Hock, Client Marketing Partners and our Legal teams.
You will work closely with our internal (creative, production, account managers, client partners and legal teams) and external stakeholders while ensuring our team of creatives can operate efficiently to deliver the highest quality content on time.
You will report directly to the Senior Director of Creative Operations in Ad Hock, and work in close collaboration with the entire Ad Hock team.

Responsibilities
Work with Senior Director of Creative Ops to set up the internal contracting process, while finding creative and efficient solves to accelerate them.
Seeing around the corners and actively advising our team throughout the creative process by identifying potential risks and how to manage them, enabling us to deliver the best work for Visa and our clients.
Collaborate closely with Ad Hock’s creative, production, account teams and Visa’s legal team in our day-to-day work.
Review agency creative and advise on talent, production and intellectual property and other third party rights issues.
Negotiating licensing and developing of templates and preparing of and other third-party rights agreements.
Process vendor payments, purchase orders and actualization.
Be a strategic partner and a problem solver, who can balance the needs and expectations of multiple stakeholders, while fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• 8+ years of experience in Business Affairs management in a creative advertising agency or marketing agency.
• A deep understanding of the critical nature of BA in advertising and how to work effectively with creative, production and legal teams.
• Proven track record of using your knowledge in producing creative solutions to help push boundaries and accelerate creative work.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence and align teams at all levels.
• Good understanding and knowledge of SAG-AFTRA commercials contract requirements and other SAG-AFTRA guidelines.
• Ability to work well under pressure and able to multi-task is critical
• Creative thinking and an ability to communicate concisely both verbally and in writing is a must
• License or education in advertising or entertainment law a plus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 132,300.00 to 172,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
