Job Description

Are you ready to make a profound impact in the world of treasury accounting? As an expert in managing complex financial processes, you will spearhead the monthly close operations for a dynamic range of treasury activities, ensuring precision and compliance in every transaction. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence, you'll lead cash accounting for over 40 accounts across more than 10 legal entities, leveraging the powerful Quantum tool. Your expertise will guide the seamless integration between the Quantum system and the Oracle general ledger, while you meticulously oversee settlement collaterals and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL). As a vital part of our team, you will drive insightful variance analyses, foster cross-functional relationships, and champion a culture of continuous improvement, all while steering a talented team towards collaborative success.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversee the monthly close process for all Treasury related activity including the completeness and accuracy of all journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analysis.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for all treasury related accounting matters.
  • Lead cash accounting activity for more than 40+ accounts across 10+ legal entities using the Quantum cash accounting tool.
  • Maintain the Quantum system and management of the interface between Quantum and the Oracle general ledger, including proper account set up for new bank accounts, GL accounts or activity types. 
  • Oversee the accounting of settlement collaterals and Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL).
  • Lead pre-close and post-close variance analysis and provide meaningful insight to activity, trends, unusual and significant transactions.
  • Utilize sound judgement to interpret and apply US GAAP accounting guidance and company policies.
  • Develop close relationships across business functions such as Treasury, Tax, Strategic Ventures and Technical Accounting to ensure transactions are appropriately recorded.
  • Partner with global accounting team members who manage intercompany settlements to ensure intercompany transactions are settled properly through Quantum.
  • Support the preparation and review of 10K and 10Q filings, including footnotes and disclosures related to Treasury accounting.
  • Identify any potential treasury related risk areas and provide sound recommendations and solutions to mitigate such risk.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement in a methodical, pragmatic and expeditious manner including automation of manual processes and controls and standardization of processes. 
  • Manage, develop, and coach a strong team of 4, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation and providing recommendations as appropriate.
  • Participate in quarterly KPMG audit and PBC requests for financial reporting.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least
5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or
2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•8 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree in accounting with
a focus on Treasury Accounting
•CPA or equivalent with clear progressive professional accounting experience,
preferably in a publicly traded company and/or with a public accounting firm
•Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 815 (Derivatives and
Hedging), ASC 820 (Fair Value Measurement), and ASC 320 (Investments in
Debt and Equity Securities)
•Experience with CECL accounting
•Excellent leadership and management skills with track record of building and
leading high performing teams
•Relevant Sarbanes Oxley experience
•Experience with financial systems and treasury accounting applications,
including Oracle, Quantum, Blackline and Reval
•Strong accounting, quantitative and analytical skills, and ability to accurately
apply key U.S. GAAP to different business situations
•Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and
actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with
others on a global basis
•Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
•Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; champions and
drives change initiatives; confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways
•Proactive, a self-starter who is accountable and exhibits ownership of
delegated tasks and projects
•Excellent influencing, interpersonal and communication skills (both written and
verbal) with all levels of an organization

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 133,000.00 to 192,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
