Position Summary

 

Visa Direct is a global real-time money movement platform that facilitates consumer and business funded use-cases such as person-to-person (P2P) transfer, person to micro-business transfer (e.g. payouts to shared economy providers), funds disbursement (e.g. insurance claim disbursements and earned wage access), and more.  The push payments market is estimated to be more than 80 Trillion dollars of payment volume globally – replacing cash, checks, and slow bank transfers with real-time money movement. A robust, multifaceted enabler ecosystem is a key element for growth as they are how merchants originates Visa Direct transactions and services. 

 

As the Senior Manager, Visa Direct Client Growth, you are responsible for managing and driving Visa Direct growth with Visa’s top Merchants and Fintech partners across North America. You will lead Visa Direct account planning, development and execution of growth strategies with your extended Visa teammates.  Organizational savviness, interpersonal and negotiation skills are critical as the role will interface with multiple areas within the assigned clients’ organization as well as within Visa (partnered sales, marketing, pricing, legal, risk, and more).  This is a critical revenue growth role on the Visa Direct sales team in a highly visible position. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, high intellectual curiosity to learn new concepts and business models with the ability to lead a team to adapt and thrive in the fast-paced environment. 


Essential Functions:

 

•    Drive growth initiatives and opportunities, including negotiating contracting, deal approvals, support new use case launches and deliver partnership presentations directly with your clients.
•    Lead client account planning activities, pipeline strategy and drive opportunities across the larger Visa organization on behalf of your clients.
•    Partner, collaborate and lead with accountability to excel with a growth-mindset by modeling excellent client relationship skills and demonstrating the Visa Principles.  
•    Develop a deep understanding of our clients' industry, performance, benchmarking and business to optimize and grow their real-time payment volume with Visa Direct.
•    Collaborate with NA and global commercialization team on the development of opportunity sizing for use case expansion and across Visa Direct offerings (Card, Account and Wallet).

Basic Qualifications    
•    5 years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years in account management and sales.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Marketing or Computer Science or other similar discipline or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) 
 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• 5 years of work experience with a minimum of 3 years in account management and sales. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Strategy, Finance, Marketing or Computer Science or other similar discipline or at least 5 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
• The ideal candidate will be an experienced individual that has account management and business development experience who is comfortable navigating ambiguity with demanding timelines in a matrixed environment.
• 8+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, Business Development, Payments, Fintech, Management or Consulting in Financial Services industry.
• MBA or Master’s degree
• Significant experience in payments or financial services industry
• Demonstrated ability of leading complex projects in cross functional settings with multiple stakeholders
• Extensive experience presenting and communicating across all levels of the organization, ability to speak effectively before the appropriate audience.
• Effective time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with the processes and core functions of Card Networks
• Cross functional sales, product or business management experience

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $163,500 to $212,500 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
