Job Description
The US Deal team is a function in Finance responsible for providing financial analysis and deal pricing expertise to compete for client brand decisions. This includes end-to-end deal execution in collaboration with various stakeholders and cross functional teams. The team is critical to delivering against Visa's revenue and business objectives and highly visible to executive leadership.
As our business and strategy evolve, selling more things to more people, deals are getting more complex and we must also evolve our deal operations to increase the efficiency and efficacy of deal making.
The Senior Director of NA Deal Excellence will be responsible for optimizing our deal process, resources, tools, and deal performance. This includes improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the deal process, increasing the scale and impact of the deal team, and leading digital transformation within the organization. They will advance our deal team operations, bringing more automation and better tooling to support successful, sustainable, scalable deal execution.
The Senior Director of NA Deal Excellence will collaborate with various stakeholders to drive performance and productivity around all aspects of our deals. They must be team oriented, collaborative, flexible, and diplomatic. They must bring a strategic mindset, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Strategic Planning and Execution - Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to modernize and transform the end-to-end deal process. This includes implementing new technologies and methodologies like iDeal for deal modeling and performance tracking
- Project Management - Manage and prioritize project pipeline, balancing short term optimization of existing tools and resources with longer term structural changes that may require future investment
- Business Reporting and Analysis - Coordinate with functional partners to design and manage key reports that meet the goals of the leadership team. Proactively review a subset of reports and updates to flag areas that require executive attention.
- Deal Database and Deal Tracking - Own deals database. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the day-to-day GIG admin and governance responsibilities, including reducing manual entry, increasing automation, and introducing mechanisms to ensure data quality and integrity
- Deal Resources and Tools - Partner with deal team members and stakeholders to develop and maintain all resources and tools to support deals – both internal and external to our team. Help to stand up centralized Deal Center for sharing tools, resources, best practices, training for team members and stakeholders
- Structure and solve business problems by collaborating with a range of internal stakeholders. Organize and prioritize critical information, issues, and data to facilitate efficient decision making. Build out unique, creative, and impactful recommendations.
- Serve as a thought partner to the VP, US Issuer deals to design and manage major planning activities, which may include annual strategy development and objective and key results (OKR) formulation, ongoing business performance and capacity management
- Build out data analytics know-how and experience within the team, provide continuous coaching and training to teammates
- Digital Transformation - Champion digital transformation within the team while successfully balancing change management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure deal excellence initiatives align with the company's overall business objectives.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
• 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
• Strong understanding of deal models, structures deal modeling, performance tracking, and data analytics
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize a project pipeline.
• Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for continuous improvement and excellence
• Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible
• Demonstrates strong sense of urgency to solving problems, even in absence of specific deadline

Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 181,800.00 to 250,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
