Position Description
The Senior Manager, Value Added-Services (VAS) for North America, will support operations for the region by leading day-to-day business operations, execution and commercialization.
Key elements of business operations include designing and running operating systems for the NA VAS business (e.g., goal setting, metric tracking, leadership forums) and process improvement for the organization.
Key elements commercialization include ensuring products align to regional client needs, are appropriately priced for target Sales channels, have an effective Sales narrative, can be delivered via a repeatable process, and are supported by ample training tools and documentation.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Business Operations and Commercialization. Success will require collaboration with and influencing of many functions across a matrixed organization (e.g., Sales, Product, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Strategy, and Customer Service). This requires organizational savvy and strong interpersonal skills.
The target candidate should be a highly effective communicator with the strong ability to influence leadership through analytical reasoning, creativity, and sound judgment. You should be comfortable challenging the status-quo in a sensitive, efficient, and constructive manner.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the NA VAS operating system and cadences, including but not limited to leadership forums, management reporting, town halls, and executive communications.
- Performance Tracking and Continuous Improvement: Closely monitor metrics tied to Sales motions and Product performance. Includes bookings and pipeline, revenue, and expenses and other items that would be included in the scorecard.
- Continually refine and optimize the commercialization process based on performance data, market research, and internal/external customer feedback.
- Governance: Manage a formal governance process to ensure investment, commercialization, pilot, and delivery standards are met as Products evolve from central development to revenue-generating deployments with regional clients.
- Operational Challenges: Work across regional and global functions to unblock and improve persistent operational challenges to drive growth in the business.
- Strategy, Program Management, and Organization: Assist the XLT in tracking strategic initiatives and ensuring progress is being made with various cross-functional stakeholders.
Locations: Open to other Visa office locations excluding NY.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Managing end-to-end projects at a top tier management consulting firm, or experience in Business Operations, Corporate Strategy or relevant functions
• Exceptional strategic problem-solving skills, and influencing skills—to drive tactical business outcomes within a global matrixed organization
• Consultative/entrepreneurial-mindset, with proven ability to cultivate high-performance & drive operational transformation
• Self-starter with experience in cultivating business partnerships at a divisional/executive level, with proven success in linking business strategies to business outcomes
• Demonstrated ability of implementing strategic initiatives, policies, and operational decisions
• Low Ego and strong desire to win as a team – pride of outcome vs. ownership mentality
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 133,000.00 to 173,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
