About Us: Visa’s Acceptance Solutions Professional Services (ASPS) solves problems and accelerates innovation and growth for our merchants, acquirers, partners, and payment technology providers by providing a range of services including consulting, technology, and business transformation, developing target state architectures, customer journey mapping, solution development, product acceleration, development, testing, migration, implementation, and value realization.
Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate, dynamic and customer focused Client Solution Architect who is highly skilled and experienced in designing and developing Cloud Data Solutions to join our Visa’s Acceptance Solutions Professional Services team.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who has a passion for data-driven solutions, can work independently in a fast paced, ambiguous environment with limited supervision, a fast learner, a highly effective communicator with strong ability to influence the solution architecture with internal stakeholders and external clients. They must possess a strong foundation in both data management principles and cloud computing technologies to enable clients to leverage the full potential of cloud technologies for managing and extracting value from their data. They must be able to provide direction when needed to junior architects, consultants, and analysts in the project team.
Key Responsibilities: As a Solution Architect for Cloud solutions in Visa, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data architecture solutions in cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing client’s data architecture in cloud platforms to support data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is accessible, secure, and performs optimally, allowing us to derive actionable insights and drive innovation.
- Strong experience required in implementing data transformation projects in cloud using reference architecture defined as blueprint for building an integrated framework.
- The ideal candidate is adept in designing the landing zone architecture, defining policies, procedures, models, and technologies that will be used to collect, process, organize, store, and retrieve information per organization’s needs.
Conduct workshops to identify client needs, elicit insights and drivers behind the needs, design solutions that meet the client needs considering all vectors that might impact the solution including but not limited to Visa’s Acceptance Platform strategy and direction, client ecosystem, desired time-to-market, and global market applicability.
Understand current state architecture, define future state vision, and target state architectures, define solutions, and build roadmap of prioritized features to meet client requirements both on and off the Visa Acceptance Platform
Design and develop robust and scalable data architecture solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Create and optimize data models, schemas, and database designs to support business requirements.
Leverage expertise in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, to choose the right services and infrastructure for business’ data needs.
Design, optimize and manage ETL processes for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading in the cloud environment.
Implement security measures and ensure data compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Seamlessly integrate data from multiple sources to create a unified and accessible data ecosystem.
Monitor and fine-tune data systems for optimal performance and scalability.
Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality and accuracy.
Collaborate closely with data engineering, data science, and analytics teams to understand their requirements and provide necessary infrastructure.
Document data architecture designs, processes, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize data workflows.
Stay updated with emerging technologies, tools, and best practices in cloud data management.
Manage cloud resources efficiently to minimize costs while maintaining performance.
Estimate and plan for future data storage and processing needs.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in designing and implementing data architecture solutions in cloud environments.
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
Strong knowledge of data modeling, database design, and ETL processes.
In-depth understanding of data security, compliance, and governance practices.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
Certifications in data management and cloud technologies are a bonus.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 159,200.00 to 207,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
