Job Description

The Digital Partnerships and Product Innovation organization in North America defines the next phase of Emerging Payment Products for Visa through our global network and leads the development and commercialization of Visa products and solutions for Big Tech, Fintech and Platform partnerships.

Visa’s North America Product Innovation team drives growth and evolution of customer-centered, market-leading products and services, from the ground up. We are looking to hire a program leader to help bring together product managers, category experts, design practitioners, strategists, and technologists, to tackle key portfolio challenges that will unlock new growth opportunities and create purposeful new payment and commerce experiences to power global commerce ecosystems.

Essential Functions

As an Program Leader at our organization, you will be at the forefront of managing a specialized cross-functional team and portfolios that supports our global strategic clients. This role is execution-focused and demands strong advocacy for our stakeholders while overseeing product development and influencing product roadmaps within the broader Digital Partnership & Product Innovation organization.

Program Managers play a crucial role in cooperating with sales, relationship management, business, product owners, and technology development teams. They are responsible for bringing innovative payment solutions to the market to differentiate our strategic partners, drive our sustained revenue growth, and extend our product offerings to enhance customer value and reinforce overall account relationships.

As an Program lead, your primary responsibility will be to partner with North America Product Innovation and Digital Partnership product and business teams. You will need to deeply understand clients' needs to facilitate the delivery of payment-related solutions that further their strategic objectives. This role requires strong customer advocacy and an execution-focused mindset while overseeing product development and influencing product roadmaps within the broader organization.

Define Product and Program management cadence and drive disciplined portfolio management in partnership with all the stakeholders will be instrumental in brining innovative payment solutions to market. These solutions help differentiate our enterprise clients, enable sustained revenue growth, extend core product/service offerings, increase customer value, and strengthen overall brand.

Success in this role requires industry-leading expertise in understanding and explaining the evolving payment ecosystem, product development and delivery, as well as partner advocacy and management. Strong business development, product development, and relationship management skills are essential.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders (Business owners, Architects, Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and others) in the creation of solutions for complex, global business problems, ensure all stakeholders have a common understanding of all solution requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Project Management and Agile tools such as JIRA
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills to synthesize and communicate complex information effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to quickly master new systems and processes, and the capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities
  • Strong executive presence and experience advising and interfacing business leadership on technology-related issues, excellent executive-level verbal and written communication
  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvement
  • Drive complex projects in collaboration with product owners and cross-functional stakeholders at all levels

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,000.00 to 212,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
