Job Description

Visa Direct is a real time global money movement network that enables FinTech’s, Banks, Merchants, and Service Providers to deploy innovative money movement solutions and experiences around the world to over 7B Cards, Accounts and Wallets in over 190 Countries and 160 Currencies. Visa Direct consumer and business applications include person-to-person (P2P) transfers and remittances, person to micro-business transfer (e.g., payouts to Gig Economy workers, Content Creators, Marketplace sellers), funds disbursements (e.g., Insurance claims, SMB Supplier payments and Government payouts), and more. The global market opportunity is estimated to be more than 90 trillion dollars of payment volume, replacing cash, checks, and slow bank transfers with real-time payments directly into bank accounts and digital wallets.

 

The Visa Direct Global Partner Expansion & GTM team plays a critical role in growing the Visa Direct business. The team is comprised of global payments experts with strong analytical skills that are responsible for developing strategic plans to drive and accelerate Visa Direct expansion across regions, countries, payment rails, use cases and verticals. The team collaborates closely with solutioning and global/regional sales teams to help demonstrate the opportunity and value proposition of Visa Direct for both top tier and the long tail of reseller partners.

 

In this strategy, this team is responsible for supporting global and regional sales teams to meet projected FY targets by expanding market share and penetrating new markets. defining and leading the overall Visa Direct partner expansion strategy both globally and regionally. maintaining existing homegrown self-serve platforms designed to service the long tail of reseller partners. developing innovative best in class practices by synthesizing data, analytics, and market research into clear partner opportunities. collaborating with cross functional teams (e.g., Solutioning, Sales, Commercialization, Legal, Product, Marketing) to ensure proper strategic alignment of partner expansion plans.

 

The successful applicant will be a key team member of the Visa Direct Partner Expansion & GTM team, which is tasked with building and implementing the Visa Direct expansion strategy to scale the business across all regions and markets of focus. While being in a very complex and critical position at Visa, you will excel at handling ambiguity and uncertainty. You know what it is like to start something from scratch, growing it structurally and methodically, and implementing impactful strategic plans. We are looking for people who have been directly involved in scaling a business or product through strategic implementation and also exhibit a vigorous curiosity to maintain the Visa network as the best way to pay and be paid.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Partner strategy, that entails (non-exhaustive) opportunity sizing, market and competitive analysis, value propositions and partner growth recommendations.

  • Leverage your commercial experience to evolve the partner expansion process to synchronize product offerings/developments across both global and regional sales team for consistent messaging.

  • Proactively Identify, package and present net new growth opportunities, leveraging data, analytics, and market research.

  • Build, employ, and evolve data-driven and scalable business processes to support concurrent execution of growth initiatives within partner timelines.

  • Leverage and contribute to existing home-grown self-serve platforms that serve to scale Visa Direct through the long tail of reseller partners.

 

This role is responsible for both strategy and execution and will bring a 'roll up your sleeves' mentality to the position as you both lead and support a variety of our partner expansion initiatives.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
• Management consulting, corporate strategy, financial services or global product strategy
experience
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor
• Prior product management, consulting, payments, ecommerce or corporate strategy experience is a
huge plus
• Excellent communication skills with client-facing or sales operations experience
• Strong persuasion skills with the ability to influence and drive consensus across multiple partners
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in Tableau is a plus
• Experience in and a passion for payments and fintech
• Ability to independently lead and manage projects with multiple work streams, with proven
leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration capabilities
• Strong global business acumen and ease of communicating cross-culturally
• Passionate about working with colleagues across the globe to develop expansion/GTM strategies
for a rapidly growing business unit
• Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to leadership and external business partners

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 121,000.00 to 157,300.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
