Job Description
Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is looking for an individual to join the team and play a key role in further developing our advisory services in the LATAM region. The potential candidate will be responsible for supporting the strategic direction of the team, running, and optimizing internal processes while keeping the pulse on its operational efficiency. The role will collaborate with leadership and work closely with other Visa areas to drive business growth, enhance effectiveness and ensure goals attainment.
Specific responsibilities include,
- Coordinating, developing, and implementing strategic initiatives to increase the efficiency of the consulting operation in the region.
- Coordinating with all sub-region and market leads to develop recommendations and key strategic initiatives based on the insights from data and context from markets.
- Constantly reviewing the pricing model and policy and ensuring proper controls are in place.
- Performance measurement and reporting, including the tracking of results of identified opportunities.
- Process design and maintenance.
- Developing ad-hoc analysis and executive presentations covering different aspects of the business.
- Portfolio management tool enhancement and support.
- Developing and managing projects and initiatives with internal clients. Understanding the challenges of the Consulting business and implementing initiatives to improve it.
- Supporting consultants to engage with clients to sell company solutions. Drive understanding of client issues and provide strategic guidance for client priorities across Profit and Loss.
- Building dashboards, KPI’s and analysis to structure and implement initiatives to improve VCA’s practice.
Incumbents applying for the role should be motivated, analytic individuals who will deliver strategic thought leadership, problem diagnostics and high impact solutions to support the team’s needs for growth and performance. Candidates must be able to develop enduring, strategic relationships with internal clients and across the Visa organization.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 6 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
- Ideally in quantitative field (e.g. engineering, economics, computer science, business administration, finance).
- Experience working in the payments industry.
- Problem solving ability with strategic focus on influencing incremental growth. Understanding of card and payment economics.
- Experience in managing and executing complex projects that requires coordination of other functional teams.
- Excellent communications skills, written and verbal and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
- Ability to work independently.
- Knowledge and understanding of banking operations, including products and services, business systems and processes.
- Strategic Planning (opportunities identification, solution prioritization).
- Practice Management (business models, structure and goals, roles and responsibilities, FTE team balance, business cases).
- Pricing (policy, model, parameters updates and workflow approval)
- Operations. (Process design and maintenance, Governance and Controls – KPIs and dashboards building, portfolio management tool enhancement and support).
- Passionate, self-motivated, results oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
- Fluent English and Spanish (Portuguese is a Plus)
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,200.00 to 144,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
