Job Description

Sr. Manager, CMS Analytics and Business Operations

The Sr. Manager, CMS Analytics and Business Operations will lead analytics and operations for the CMS Sales Analytics program at Visa Inc. In this role, you will provide strategic analysis to identify and evaluate trends in the business, and identify opportunities for business units as well as regions. You will be responsible for building models, reporting, creating insights, and making recommendations. Responsibilities will range from strategic (redesign and optimize sales analytic plans/models, recommending strategic GTM changes) to operational (setting goals, compensation plan implementation, attainment analysis).

This role will play a key role in quarterly business reviews and the annual GTM planning cycle. You will drive insights into quarterly attainment, model and recommend sales compensation plan changes, partner with finance and sales orgs, and deliver on dashboards. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a dynamic, data-driven environment and demonstrate a natural curiosity when digging into the numbers. You are responsible for reporting and analytics, and data management of all CMS sales analytics data.

Essential Functions

  • Structure and solve business problems through data
  • Guide the preparation of reporting, analysis, and financial summaries of our CMS sales compensation program
  • Use data and insights to inform customer segments and sales coverage models
  • Influence sales process and CRM design to measure and improve new sales productivity 
  • Create predictive models that will guide sales activity (ie Opportunity Health, Next Best Action, Next Best Product).
  • Model and recommend opportunities to the business units and regional sales teams
  • Deliver dashboards and reports for Sales, Finance and Exec leaders on Sales performance, trends, opportunities, etc.
  • Act as an internal resource to sales analytics and issues. Ensure any questions are researched and a timely response prepared.
  • As required, work on other projects that drive business results and support the collaboration between business units.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• Exceptional analytical and operations skills with the ability to work in a global environment and drive consensus in cross-functional teams
• Ability to forecast business trends and translate into insightful analysis
• Ability to structure data, analysis, and tell a story line in PowerPoint presentations
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor, attention to detail and ability to structure and analyze sophisticated automation (e.g. Python and/or other tools)
• Proactive, strategic thinker supported by strong analytical and project management skills
• Detail orientation to ensure complete accuracy and quality of output
• Process oriented and ability to document processes with the ability to achieve the goals of multiple overlapping workstreams
• CRM knowledge to pull data and develop dashboards
• Ability to think through potential automation solutions
• Expert Excel skills: model building, use of advanced formulas and arrays, pivot tables, data manipulation, VBA
• Continually curious to develop a passion for the business
• Ability to synthetize complex data into simple consumable deliverables with clear takeaways
• Powerpoint / Google Slide: develop presentations with summary of analytics /findings.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 133,500.00 to 173,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
