Job Description

Visa Value Added Services (VAS) People Business Partner (PBP) Team is seeking an experienced PBP to drive our people agenda efforts in support of the VAS team. The right candidate for this role is comfortable navigating challenging forces in a fast-paced, dynamic payments space with significant change. Position Summary:

  • Execute proactively, efficiently, and effectively People team partnerships with VP+ level leadership, People Advisors, People Centers of Excellence team members, and Finance Business Partners in all People teams aspects
  • Be a thought partner on driving and retaining high performing teams (matrix, cross-functional, etc.)
  • Build relationships with business leaders and be a catalyst in delivering People solutions that support the specific needs of each business and overall business objectives, utilizing the specialists in all areas of the People Team, serving as a resource/consultant in strategic and tactical approaches for all People Team areas.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR plans aligned to business strategies/goals.
  • Provide coaching to managers on employee and organizational matters.

Essential Functions

  • Provide HR expertise to lead business divisions in all aspects but not limited to employee relations, performance management, talent management/organizational development, rewards and recognition, growth and development and workforce planning with the support of the COEs
  • Consult in creating organizational capabilities necessary to meet current and future business challenges
  • Ensure that policy and advice to client group is in accordance with employment law, Visa strategy and best practice
  • Work with Clients to build high performing teams, support managers with coaching on employee issues, organizational design, people related strategy and execution
  • Work with business to create and manage workforce plans
  • Drive best in class Talent agenda and hire, retain and grow top talent across the region
  • Ensure Human Resources support is provided in an effective and timely manner with top client service and proactive delivery.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

- 10 years of experience and Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years of experience and
Master’s degree; or 3 years of experience and PhD; or 15 years of experience
with some college courses

Preferred Qualifications:

- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of
experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years
of work experience with a PhD
- Progressively responsible experience in HR with exposure to an innovative,
fast-paced business, one that continues to reinvent their business proposition
- Strong organizational design experience
- Successful business partner leadership experience at a divisional/executive
level, with proven success in linking people strategies to the business strategy
- Experience working in complex organizations (matrix, cross cultural, cross
geographical)
- Highly creative and innovative and future thinker on HR trends, best practices,
and approaches
- Ability to deal with a high degree of ambiguity and complexity
- Analytical rigor and facility with HR reporting tools, Workday, Excel,
PowerPoint, and Word; including good numerical and analytical skills
- Management consulting, PMO background a plus exhibiting advance planning,
and problem-solving skills
- Hold high standards of client service and works closely to establish credibility
with clients
- Ability to balance employer and employee advocacy
- Outstanding verbal and written communication as well as relationship building
skills; flexing style accordingly

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,600.00 to 162,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
