We are looking for a passionate Android Developer to join our team and work within a key strategic client in New Zealand, helping them bring exceptional mobile banking and payment solutions to the market.

What you will be doing
This role will support one of our most strategically important clients in New Zealand and will be a key contributor to improving one of their critical assets – their mobile banking app. You will be responsible for the critical implementation of a much-anticipated feature. In this role you will:
- Develop our client’s native Android application using Kotlin & Java.
- Work with other engineers to turn business requirements and designs into seamless and faultless customer experiences, whilst maintaining the highest code quality.
- Maintain and improve the CI / CD pipelines.
- Participate in defect & incident triage when needed.
- Collaborate with other teams, including iOS developers and backend developers, to ensure cross-platform consistency and compatibility.
Qualifications
What you will bring
Key Competencies:
- Proven experience with mobile development, extensive experience in Android app development.
- Thorough understanding of Android SDK, Kotlin, Java, software development and support lifecycles.
- Experience with AWS APIs using GraphQL.
- Extensive experience in CI-CD practices drives and delivering via declarative deployment practices with automated quality and security built-in.
- Experience with unit and component/integration testing as part of day-to-day development, ideally using TDD and BDD techniques.
- Proven ability to work in an Agile and/or DevOps environment.
- Solid understanding of Android app architecture, performance optimization, and debugging techniques.
- Experience in banking or other regulated environment where quality development is a must.
- Proven ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Performance testing experience is a bonus.
