Job Description
Position Summary:
The Digital Partnerships, FinTech & Ventures team is responsible for driving commercial engagements with the world’s leading digital brands and emerging FinTech companies. The Sr. Manager will provide critical analytical, strategic, and business development across a number of deals with Digital Partners, emerging FinTech startups, etc. The Sr. Manager will engage with internal and external partners within the digital commerce, payment enabler, FinTech, etc. segments to further position Visa as the digital payments partner of choice. Success requires working closely with a multitude of cross-functional Visa teams within Visa’s regional LAC office and in the markets, predominantly with Client Services, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Finance organizations as well as other internal business partners. The Sr. Manager will use strong analytical skills, contextual business sense, and a creative flair to solve real world business challenges.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Partner Management: Business Development
- Lead and provide support across the business development lifecycle – from originating, negotiating, and executing commercial deals with leading regional FinTech and digital commerce companies.
- Engage with the local FinTech ecosystem, in LAC, to identify potential partners, drive initial outreach, opportunity sizing.
- Co-develop go-to-market strategies, identify opportunities to deploy Visa products and solutions that can create win-win opportunities for Visa and the broader FinTech and digital commerce ecosystem.
- Serve as the key point-of-contact between the partner and internal LAC/global teams.
- Establish, nurture, and expand the ecosystem relationships to drive increased preference for Visa products/solutions.
Market and Partner Analysis:
- Research industry trends and emerging themes in technology and payments that will shape the future of Visa’s business and support the development of Visa’s ‘point-of-view’ – internally and with external prospects and clients.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets and support the creation of fact based insights about potential and existing partners, opportunities.
- Extract actionable business insights from internal and external data and build deliverables that clearly communicate the findings and recommendations.
Deal Structuring and Sales Tool Development:
- Support the evaluation of potential partnership opportunities for their strategic and financial value and providing business rationale and analytics in support of the opportunities.
- Developing standardized and bespoke deal structures for partners across the region, working closely with Visa Finance, Product, Client Services, etc.
- Support the development, negotiation and signing of proposals by working with various internal stakeholders and ‘approvers’ for deals.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
• At least eight years of experience, preferably in business development, partnership management, FinTech (or other startups), digital commerce industry.
• Start-up experience preferred (as an employee, founder, etc.), but not required.
• Banking and FinTech regulatory knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work within a complex and often ambiguous environment, and ability to guide the relevant stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn and ability to partner, communicate and manage/navigate through multiple disciplines and organizational groups.
• Team oriented, client-focused, collaborative, diplomatic, with an entrepreneurial mindset, fearless when it comes to challenging the status quo.
• Experience and/or passion and understanding of the FinTech and startup ecosystem(s).
• Ability to move quickly, at the speed with which startups operate.
• Sense of humor, team-oriented, growth-mindset, and a deep thirst for winning.
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Fluent in English, Spanish – Portuguese preferred but not required
• Travel less than 25%
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 107,900.00 to 140,300.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
