Job Description

Position Summary

The Interchange and Pricing analyst will be a member of Global Interchange & Pricing Systems Team, which is responsible for managing Visa’s technical solutions for the successful deployment of Interchange and Pricing strategies globally.

The role serves as a liaison between business/strategy area and development groups.  The successful candidate will be highly detail oriented, ideally with a background in Visa transaction processing coupled with operational experience. This person will think strategically and holistically about the business, be capable of identifying and resolving issues, and excel at quickly grasping and clearly communicating complex topics.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Work within cross-functional and cross-regional project teams to manage the development of technical solutions for the implementation of interchange and pricing initiatives
  • Work proactively and collaboratively to resolve business and technical problems arising during projects, including obtaining and examining all relevant information to determine cause and facilitate resolution
  • Actively seeks opportunities to gain and maintain subject matter expertise of system capabilities and services through training, work experience and self-study to drive own career growth and development
  • Manage assignments that are diverse in scope, and search out appropriate courses of action
  • Define Business Requirements for assigned Interchange and Pricing projects
  • Review technical design documents, test and UAT deliverables and performs post implementation reviews to ensure project success
  • Support post-implementation validation activities
  • Maintain Pricing and Interchange internal and external documentation
  • Ensure adherence to audit and compliance requirements
  • Provide first level support to internal and external customers around interchange and pricing fees managed by team

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
• 1 - 3 years of work experience in card processing or financial services
• Demonstrated expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. SQL,
Microstrategy tools experience is a plus
• Ability to comprehend and translate business issues and apply to technical
solutions
• Self-starter attitude – with the ability to self-serve, investigate and get the
information needed for the project at hand
• Highly motivated to drive individual learning toward a deep understanding
of Visa business and systems capabilities. Confident, proactive and can
learn on the job
• Ability to work independently, usually within a complex and often
ambiguous environment
• Should be able to prioritize workflow with limited supervision
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated
intellectual and analytical rigor.
• Eagerness to work intensively in joint teams with personnel of all levels to
accomplish project objectives.
• Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages in written and verbal
communications.
• Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback and
coaching from peers and managers
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility
as a peer with Global Functions.


Preferred Qualifications:
• 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 100,400.00 to 128,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
