Job Description

The Treasury team at Visa has operations located around the globe that support critical functions for the business including the daily settlement of all Visa transactions globally. The Treasury department is also responsible for the management of corporate cash and investments, foreign exchange risk management, capital structure, insurance, and settlement of payment transactions worldwide. Treasury as a Service is a team within Treasury and New Flows that collaborates with key stakeholders (i.e., Product, Technology, Sales, Client Services, etc.) to shape and execute cross-border payment offerings.

The Senior Analyst will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, primarily focused on the support of Visa B2B Connect, our payment network designed to faciliate cross-border business transactions. The responsibilities for this role include working closely with the Product and Client Services teams along with our partner banks to support the execution and reconciliation of payment transactions on the B2B Connect platform. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, the Senior Analyst is expected to drive operational excellence via:

  • Identifying and implementing process improvements,
  • Maintaining and strengthening process controls, and
  • Generating analysis and reports to facilitate the management of B2B Connect.

The ideal candidate should possess a background in correspondent banking and back-office operations including specific knowledge of cross-border payments. The candidate should enjoy solving challenging problems affecting the settlement of payments in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and be flexible and adept at delivering operational tasks and supporting strategic initiatives. Strong attention to detail is a must.

As our payment platforms, particularly B2B Connect, evolve to meet client needs, the successful candidate for this position will have an opportunity for broadening her/his scope of responsibilities and will be a strong advocate for Treasury as we launch new features with various Product partners.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Finance or Operations role, preferably in the Banking or Payments industry.
•Experience in treasury operations with correspondent banking and back-office operations including specific knowledge of cross-border payments required.


Preferred Qualifications:
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
• Excellent written and analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio).
• Achievement of Certified Treasury Professional certification is a plus.
• Experience in prioritizing, planning and completing work within tight time constraints. May include work outside of normal business hours to work through a critical production situation.
• Demonstrated capacity to pro-actively liaise with bank partners and other key stakeholders (internal and external) to resolve inquiries referred to Treasury by the Client Service team.
• Ability to support the secure execution of funds transfers through the B2B Connect network.
• Experience with bank account management across various regions (e.g., New York, London, Singapore and Hong Kong).
• Subject matter expert (or demonstrates capacity to become) with various global payment solutions, including SWIFT, low value clearing networks (e.g., ACH, SEPA), Real-time payments and cross-border payments.
• Strong comprehension of key control environment requirements and experience with various audits (e.g., internal, external, SOX, SSAE16).
• Demonstrates an appropriate sense of urgency in responding to settlement production questions or incidents, including urgent resolution of all outstanding payments.
• Establish credibility with stakeholders and navigate often complex or ambiguous subjects with ease and diplomacy.
• Ability to understand and document processes and system flows.
• Experience with Power Query, Power Automate and Power BI.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 154,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
