Job Description

LAC’s Visa business Solutions is looking for a highly motivated Product Manager for our current spend management solutions (Visa Spend Clarity for Business and Enterprise) focused on small and middle business and large corporations.

The Product Owner is responsible for managing and delivering compelling solutions to solve the transaction management, purchasing, expense and accounts payable needs of all our LAC visa partners and their clients. This role requires a strong sense of ownership, vision, curiosity, critical thinking, visa solutions knowledge, financial analytical skills, creative problem solving and thought leadership.

The Product Owner will be a member of the global Visa business solution Architecture and product team and will report to the VP of business solutions in LAC.

This role will be responsible for planning, developing, and deploying new products/features and enhancing existing capabilities in accordance with the broader product strategy and roadmap. The incumbent will lead Visa Spend Clarity for Business and Enterprise within the VBS team, including product management of the Visa Spend Management Ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on supporting growth of new payment flows and value-added services. The role will work closely with the global products Lead, cross-functional stakeholders and Product counterparts focused on collaboration and as running point of LAC’s Platform team.

The role will require the talent to lead by example, enable and inspire and collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment while delivering on a strong, aligned approach with global and local teams. In addition, the role will require product strategy and product management experience, a solid understanding of product development, B2B payments (Issuing, Acceptance, new vertical and data management), products and platforms that exist within visa and visa business solutions.

Essential Functions:

  • Support for Visa Spend Clarity Solution sales. Positioning the solution, covering sales calls, presentations, live demos, and sales day to day questions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing agencies and internal Marketing teams to create marketing materials, maintain the sales enablement sales documents, sales decks.
  • Support after implementation stages: commercialization and massive deployment phases
  • Create and Maintain Visa Spend Clarity Pipelines, submit dashboards for management information
  • Update and maintain VSC repository in teams.
  • Collaborate with peers and senior leaders to align product strategies and ensure proper coordination and messaging for where appropriate.
  • Provide executive briefings and ensure awareness of product rollout and migration efforts for Visa Spend Clarity Solution.
  • Manage enhancements to the product architecture to allow originators to deliver VBS solutions into the region, as well as to reduce barriers for new use cases (generally tied to acceptance, data, regulatory compliance, risk, or other ecosystem factors)
  • Formally escalate in timely manner Solutions instabilities, errors reported by client facing teams.
  • VSC Solution Monthly Billing for Visa Spend Clarity clients
  • Work with Technology to ensure new use cases and capabilities deliver expected user experience and are on time and within budget.
  • Execute Visa Business solution roadmap for Visa Spend Clarity against overall commercial targets in Visa.
  • When requested client interaction with corporate/treasury banks, Card Issuers, Acquirers, Processors and PSPs
  • Cross-functional interaction within Visa including Compliance, Client Readiness, Legal, Regulatory, Risk, Sales, Marketing, Product, Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Corporate Strategy and Technology
  • Monitoring the market and developing competitive analyses.
  • Work with Global Product Owners to develop program roadmaps which align to business objectives and sequenced by priority and resource availability.
  • Acts as the customer advocate articulating the user’s and/or buyer’s needs.
  • Ensure the program and projects follow Visa's Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is reported regularly on program progress and financial status.

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 10 years of payments experience, including experience in product and in payments processing
  • Since this position will be supporting clients in LAC Spanish is required
  • Broad knowledge in payment technology, Visa B2B solutions, Data Solutions and APIs
  • Proven project management skills, strong attention to detail and execution focus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop, understand, synthesize, and communicate technical complexities to non-technical peers and clients, both senior and junior, in a simple and clear manner.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate products with evidence of tangible business results.
  • Ability to inspire, influence, negotiate and drive results with those without direct management responsibility. Comfort leading and working closely with cross-functional teams required.
  • Possess a high level of professionalism and leadership skills to build business relationships, trust and respect with business partners and cross-functional teams. Strong ability to collaborate across cultures.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 111,200.00 to 144,500.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
