Job Description
The Senior Director for Client Services Merger and Acquisition Integration is a critical role within the Global New Service Experience team responsible for developing a multi-year strategy and playbook for integrating newly acquired entities into the Client Services function and Visa more broadly.
This individual will act as the single point of contact for all integration activities related to Client Servicing. A key aspect of this role will be analyzing the merged entities customer support processes in comparison to what exists at Visa today and defining options to integrate processes in order to scale support. This individual would have to socialize the options and gain commitment from Client Services leadership on the direction, funding and resources in order to achieve the defined integration path. This will require the development of an integration strategy and playbook as well as the oversight and management of actual integration activities. Additionally, this individual will be a key liaison to Visa’s Mergers and Acquisition and Corporate Development teams providing subject matter expertise and insight into the deal pipeline and due diligence process.
Essential Functions
Day to day tactical leadership of Client Service Mergers and Acquisitions integration activities for Visa in line with corporate objectives
Strategic planning of acquisition integration activities, and presentation into multiple leadership forums to foster consensus for strategy and budgets
Responsible for ensuring Client Services planning is considered with each integration of new Mergers and Acquisitions.
Responsible for defining, managing and implementing acquisition integration projects including: requirements gathering, prioritization within the organization, innovative solution development and execution across CS organizations
Communicate and evangelize strategies to executive management within Client Services, Product and Technology gaining buy-in and investing resources to achieve completion of integration
Improve integration efficiency by defining and implementing process improvements
Direct and indirect management and mentoring of employees, with responsibility for delivering an exemplary standard of leadership and motivation. You will be accountable to the very highest standards of ethics along with business and service efficacy
Develop talent within the team to provide world-class, differentiated service and best in class work environment
Separate and distinct from the Mergers and Acquisitions role, this individual would manage a team of Implementation Managers that focus on defining the global implementation model while piloting new products and services
Periodically this role will require after hours calls with peers in other time zones.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor´s Degree, ideally in business, engineering, economics or hard sciences
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- MBA strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience of the client support industry, best practices, metrics, processes and infrastructure
- Proven track record of Mergers and Acquisitions integration work, ideally within technical, matrixed organizations
- Strong knowledge of financial services and payments industry, especially with an eye to emerging technologies and players
- Exceptional program and project management skills
- Strong financial modeling skills and overall Mergers and Acquisitions deal experience
- Experience of multinational management across differing time zones and cultures
- Ability to manage remote staff, and multiple simultaneous tasks
- Must be a self-starter and highly motivated business oriented independent thinker.
- Ability to develop metrics and achieve them
- Relationship building and management both internally and externally
- Capable of developing a deep level of knowledge on supported products/services
- Important to understand how products are used by clients and impacts to their business when there are issues
- Strong leadership, executive presence, influencing and negotiating skills
- Management experience
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally, and within all levels of the organization
- Strong capability to develop clear and persuasive communications and presentations both horizontally across the organization as well as vertically
- Proven strategic skills with the ability to identify, connect and communicate opportunities that achieve objectives
- Experience of having worked in virtual teams across geographical location and time zones
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 163,600.00 to 225,000.00 USD, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
